Linda ......... so glad the strike is off and you can go and collect Eve by train

Sue .......... I'm glad to hear that Aiden's operation is over xxxx

Daughter and grandson leave early tomorrow morning, we have to have them at the airport for about 7:15 am

They now want you to arrive 2 hours before your flight time, even for domestic flights :-(

we'll be back to normal (??) soon after that :-)

It has been lovely to have them here

That blue poppy is certainly out standing "in its field"

Take care all.. I am having problems with GR subs yet again sort of double what I paid last year.. so I may not be on here much longer. It's the principle of it all. I had so much of a headache last year with it as well.

I had better turn in as it is midnight here.

Sue sent me a pm Nd said she is having trouble getting into the thread,so if she doesn't come back, you will know why

I hope OH managed to get all the glass up Persie as I tend to wander about in bare feet. It was one of the thick everyday IKEA glasses which he dropped on the rug, so I am surprised it broke. Luckily the wine had been drunk,so there wasn't much red on the rug

You are persistent with your poppy Amanda, I would not be so patient

Hello Persie - Aiden will have his various gaming devices so will be happy :-)

The flower is incredible Amanda - amazing colour.

Hello Sue , I hope Aiden soon recovers from his operation , it must be a great relief for you all that it is over . He is a brave boy indeed .

I suspect the babies won't be babies for long , the twins are certainly catching Poppy up , they are both still a lot lighter than her but there isn't much in it length wise .

After 12 years and a few failed attempts :-| I have managed to get a Blue Himalayen Poppy to flower once more in my garden :-D

Glad to see you back in the fold Tec.. and what is your other leg's name.

We have an advertising company here called Saatchi and Saatchi but do not think Archie and Archie will quite do the trick.

Himself broke one of those Arcoroc coffee mugs on the tiled floor and it went into oceans of little pieces. I vacuumed and swept and then several days later noticed another little piece of glass, it came out from under the skirting board. I had run the vacuum nozzle with the pointy bit for skirting boards along it as well. Since then two more pieces appeared but none for a month or so. Looks like all gone :-S

Aiden ( I always have to remember the spelling, a neighbour's lad (grown up and married now, his name is Aidan) will probably have a fun time in hospital as long as he has plenty going on and doesn't succumb to boredom. :-)

The weather yesterday was horrid - cold, wet and windy. Today it is sunny - amazing :-)

I spoke to Aiden yesterday afternoon but he was too groggy and fell asleep midsentence.

Poor Aiden, I am glad the operation went well. He will no doubt discover that it is not as much fun as he thought it was going to be, children bounce back quickly though.

I am relieved the strike is off as We were going to have to drive down and bring her back in the car.

What a relief that the planned strike has been called off Linda :-)

Amanda - it is lovely seeing how the babies are coming along.

I'm sorry the Duchess isn't well Tec :-(. Hopefully you will get to see her soon.

Aiden had his operation yesterday so his leg is in plaster for awhile. A lot of rehab ahead for him. He was in surgery for over 3 hours. He's a brave boy.

I would love to be a fly on the wall when your daughter arrives, you are going to be in so much trouble

I am sorry to hear that the Duchess is not well

Thank you Linda,

It is so nice to be back among my things. They were very kind in the hospital, but there is no place like home. I seem to have spent such a lot of time in hospital this year.
Now time to make plans for the future.

By coincidence the home where the Duchess is phoned this evening. She has also been discharged back to the home, but the situation is not good.
I will try to visit her this weekend.
