I don't have an epi pen Amanda, my allergy isn't life threatening, I just react badly, compared to OH

If he brushes a nettle, he gets just a mild irritation, I come out in huge watery blebs :-(

Tec , I wasn't brave at all , I was scared stiff they would find a way into the shed to be honest :-0 The little ones are all getting on okay thank you :-D

Linda , it is a worry if you react badly to being stung , do you carry one of those epie pen things ?
I'm sure the woman who the bees belong to isn't looking after them as well as she could do . I phoned her up to tell her they had swarmed and she was quite short with me :-( but she did say she was down with a sickness bug , so I expect I was the last person she needed on the end of the line .

I don't like the sound of those bees Amanda. I hate being stung, I have a bad reaction to them. It is the same with nettles, I only have to lightly brush against them and I am covered in huge watery blisters. Mosquitos make a beeline can for me as well, it is so unfair as they totally ignore OH

Sylvia I hope you can get your keyboard gremlin trced, and eve-icted.

Hello Amanda,
Ii is lovely to be back amongst things familiar to me again.

You were very brave to be that close to the swarming bees. I would never harm them of course, as they are so valuable and under threat world wide, but I can't imagine being that close.

I hope that all the littchesty coughs now.le ones are free of their colds and

Hello everyone .

Welcome back Tec , it is lovely to see your name popping back up on the thread :-) as for all the typos , at least you have a good excuse , mine are usually down to an inability top spell :-D
I hope you can soon find a solution to your getting into the garden dilemma , your a clever chap , I know you will find a way to overcome .

Linda , I hope your journey back with Eve tomorrow is an easy one .

It has been a dull , miserable day here as well , typical Bank holiday weather :-(

I had fun and games a couple of days ago , when the neighbours bees ( on the allotments ) swarmed ......again , it's about the forth time in a couple of weeks , this lot had decided to gather in my raspberry canes . A noticed them and about half an hour later they all took off ( they are really quite alarming at that point ) they flew into the chicken run ( by which time I had got into the shed and was watching ) , then they made a " bee line " towards me ! I quickly shut the shed door and was crouched inside trying to spy out of a screw hole in the door , the whole air outside the shed was filled with the sound of buzzing :-0 :-0 :-0 .........then silence ! I suspect they took off over the hedge into the play park behind the allotments .
Oh for a quite life !

My keyboard is making far more mistakes than it used to ............ or that I do when I am in control of the keyboard.

I think I have a little gremlin in there :-|

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 25 May 2015 20:42

I am sure there will be a solution to it.

I am finding with my new phone that I am making typos all of the time. The keyboard seems to cover up most of the screen making it difficult to see what I have written. It wasn't a problem with my last one

I was confused, which is typical of my state of mind at present. I thought that Linda was already in London, bringing Eve back tomorrow .

Linda's idear of a ramp is good on the face of it, but it s=doesn.t leave enough of a slope (gradient) for me to manage.
I will get someone here who deals with these matters all the time.

The phantom hand has appeared again I see, flying about the keyboard as it likes.
Seems to happen when I tired - bear th me please. :-(

Linda ..........

I think you are right about Sue :-( :-(

I wonder what we have done wrong?? :-S

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 25 May 2015 19:59

it's colder here as well ........... I've turned on the baseboard heating in this room, AND I'm wearing a fleecy jacket

Quite a shock to the system!!

Hope you had a good trip Linda, and that tomorrow's trip back home with Eve will be as easy :-)

Tec ................ Linda's idea of a ramp is a good one ....... it would save you emulating a gymnast between the parallel bars :-D :-D

I am in London now, I am staying overnight and taking Eve back in the morning

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 25 May 2015 17:55

I used to transfer from the wheelchair in the kitchen, to the wheelchair in the utility room, by lowering myself down the steps using my then right leg, aided by the handrails.
Hopefully I will find the solution before breaking my neck :-D

Trust you got home safely with little Eve,

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 25 May 2015 15:16

I wondered why you couldn't get out, did you change wheelchairs and walk down the step into the utility?

I am sure you could have a carpenter make a wooden platform level with the kitchen, so you could go onto that, then have a ramp going down towards the back door

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 25 May 2015 14:35

Hope you have a good journey back with Eve Linda.

It isn't very warm here today either. As I can't get out the back into the garden it doesn't matter.

I am busy plotting and planning how to overcome that problem.

No visitors today, so much quieter here, in contrast to yesterday.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 25 May 2015 13:47

I am on the train logged in to the free wifi, isn't technology clever.

It is really cold today, not the weather I was hoping for for half term. Never mind, there are lots of things we can do inside as well as in the garden

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 25 May 2015 11:45

I don't think she wants to talk to us Sylvia :-(

Almost lunchtime here, then I will be off in the train

Eve rang this morning and God me that she was making me some cakes. Sadly they are made from Play Doh, just as well really, I have to think of my figure. I hope one day to rediscover it.

Hi Tec and Linda .................

sorry I missed you both!

Tec ........... I bet you did get it in the neck!!!

I know what my own daughter would be like :-D

I hope your visitors made cups of tea for you as well as for themselves :-D

Take it easy, and you'll get there.
