Hello,
:-)

Glad you arrived safely at your holiday destination Linda - hope you both have a restful and lovely time.

Been a busy day here - I had an appointment at Aberystwyth hospital. My daughter came over to take me there.
While we were out a man was busy in the back porch/conservatory, changing the double doors to make them open outwards, which will make it much easier in getter my new electric wheelchair in and out.
Tomorrow he will start on making the ramp that will enable me to get from the kitchen, through the porch, and into the garden.

I am hoping to visit the Duchess tomorrow afternoon.

Yeah, I have wifi in the room so I can stay in touch.

It has been a long day. The hotel seems nice, extremely quiet which is what we like. We are just having a late afternoon rest as we were up at 5am, the journey always makes me feel tired in any case

The home we sold was open plan Sylvia, the kitchen had a high counter, but you could stand in the kitchen on the other side of the counter and look out the front door or the back door (which was French doors onto the deck)

Even the other house we looked at on Sunday was gutted out to have kitchen, dining and lounge all along one side of the house as one big room.

That new one you looked at does sort of have a formal dining area that one could make as a small lounge. I liked the U shape of the house. Not sure where we would park the truck.

Persie .........

I like that house, but it isn't a house I could live in!

I prefer older houses with individual rooms

Hi Sue, and everyone

Linda ............... have a great holiday!

We had rain overnight, and showers during this morning and afternoon.

I had physio this mroning ............ the physio spent a lot of time working on the muscle at the back of my thigh before moving on to working on my back.

He then told me at the end "I'm very pleased with how the leg is improving, but you will find that it will hurt tonight after the work I've done on it today, and you might find it is bruised tomorrow. The pain and bruising will soon go away." :-0

Good job I wear long skirts :-D

Enjoy the Athletics, I hope it stays warm for them.

I had better go to sleep as I have to be up so early. There is supposed to be wifi in parts of the hotel, but it will be painfully slow. I will try to keep in touch if I can

Fine :-P

It's cold here - I didn't want to get up. We are going to Drew's school athletics carnival this morning. At least it's sunny.

I am not sharing with you

SueMaid Report 2 Jun 2015 22:50

Well I think it's a lovely house - I like the bedrooms and bathrooms so we may all come and visit if you buy it :-D

It would be quicker if you just followed the internet link Sue, rather than going all that way :-D

It sounds very good Persie, pity you don't want to buy it

I have had my hair cut, so I can see, the cases are packed, I have remembered to do my legs. The alarm is set for 5am, Kefalonia here we come

No it's a scullery, it also has a separate kitchen sink and dishwasher etc... You can prepare in there, make a mess and shut the door on it.

The utility room is what I call a utility room, it is separate with washing machine dryer, cupboard with ironing board etc and shelves and tub, It is off the hallway and has an exit door to a concrete area with clothes line. The end of the hall has the internal entry to the double garage.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 2 Jun 2015 14:22

That looks nice Persie. Is the butlers pantry what we would call a utility room, where you have the washing machine and tumble dryer

Persephone

Persephone Report 2 Jun 2015 09:41

It was nice, but it is a bit out of where we would like to be in Cambridge, it is in one of the new housing areas and is more or less a brand new house.

Hope that works.. you can't see the scullery as it is behind the closed door in the kitchen, but as I knew it was in there by the advert it was the first place I headed.

Then the agent said to me later have you seen the butler's pantry and OH said to her that was the first place Persie looked.

Wardrobes are important Persie. I would go for the posh house :-DI am just looking in quickly before going to get my hair cut. I will be glad not to have to constantly push my fringe out of the way

Persephone

Persephone Report 2 Jun 2015 00:30

I was going to put another wash on, I did one yesterday and got it dry and had loaded the machine with sheets etc for today but they can sit in there and wait.

Went and looked at a couple of houses on Sunday.. sort of from one extreme to the other. The really flash one had a butler's pantry (scullery) and was fantastic, would love it but think we are too rough and ready for that kinda house and my friends and rellies might think I have gone rather a bit above myself.

The other was a lot smaller and bit like a comfortable pair of old shoes, nothing out of the ordinary but cosy. OH liked that one, but there were only two little wardrobes. I need two big ones just for me. Our house we left had a walk in one which I prefer.
It only had one bathroom in the house but there was an ensuite in the sleepout.
