That looks lovely Persie, definitely a place for posh frocks

Today I have been swimming in the sea on a lovely sandy beach, so I made up for yesterday

Well another day over, had a lovely morning tea at the Langham today.. my friend did not realise it was a posh place we were all going to. One of her relatives that lives with her, asked her where she was going and when she told him, he said you can't go wearing your jeans.

It is 30 again here, far too hot for we British

We went on our round island premier tour today, Yo get a free bottle of water on the premier tour, we were picked up at. 7.30am so it has been a long day

There are some beautiful little ports and so many secluded beaches which can only be reached by boat. It was a lot of time in the coach but worth it.We also had a boat trip which included the usual sea swim, but sadly I couldn't do that this time as I wouldn't have been able to get back up the ladder.

We had lunch at the restaurant of some famous Kefelonion TV chef woman, apparently she has given up the TV to concentrate on her food. all I can Say is that her filo pastry is rubbish
:-D

I am!!!

Just back from afternoon coffee.

The last 2 days have been really pleasant here ....... still sunny and blue skies but several degrees cooler than at the weekend

21C is a big difference from 25C and above

It really has been a mini heatwave .......... several record highs for the day have been broken at different parts of the province every day since last Friday .............. some of the old records dated from around 1900 :-0

Plus, the records were not broken by just 0.1 or 0.2 of a degree ........ some of them were broken by 3C or 4C

Vancouver didn't officially break any records at the "official" station ...... but we certainly had higher temps here at the house than I've recorded since 2010 :-0

The gasman arrived ..............

He arrived about 11:30 am, replaced the meter which is outside on the side of the house, OH let him into the basement through the downstairs door, and he re-started the pilot light on the hot water tank.

He said the furnace had a self-starting pilot light :-S

He was here for less than 5 minutes! :-D

You are going to be busy Sylvia, but it is nice to see old friends

We are due west of Athens on the other side of the country about a six hour drive away we haven't heard anything about an earth quake. There was a massive earthquake here in Kefalonia in 1953 which destroyed just about every building on the island, so I hope that doesn't happen again

We had torrential rain this morning, but it passed over. It has been a mixture of cloud and sun since then, but still warm enough to sit by the pool reading. I think it is supposed to be the same tomorrow then it is sue to,get hot agAin.we don't mind as long as it is warm ,it is good just relaxing..we have booked an all day island tour for Thursday s o we will be all cultured up then

I am very happy for you that your test results were all clear again

we had a quiet summer planned, no visitors, nothing to do, until our still-in-the-planning-stage train trip across Canada in early October ...................

suddenly it's all go!!!

email this morning. Friends form Perth will be in town for June 16-18. They're staying a hotel downtown, but want to meet for coffee or maybe a meal.

An hour later ........... friend from Wales. In town June 21-23, can we meet up on the 22nd?

Seriously ............ it will be fun to see both couples :-)

Hi Sue, and everyone

Sue ......... thank you! It is always a relief when you get the all clear for another 6 months :-)

Linda ........ there was a 5.2 earthquake early on Tuesday morning (ca 5 am), with the epicentre between the island of Epia and the mainland. It was felt in Athens ........ I wasn't sure where you are in relation to that area.

There doesn't appear to have been any significant damage.

I heard it on our 10 pm radio news :-)

I am relieved that you are OK Tec, it is lovely that your sister has come to visit

Hello Tec!

You are leading a busy life :-D

I went for my 6 monthly post-mastectomy check-up today .......... all OK

bp was OK

got new prescriptions

.............. and said farewell to the resident I've been seeing for the last 2 years :-(

He "graduates" out of the residency programme at the end of this month, and moves out into real life doctoring

Tecwyn Report 8 Jun 2015 21:05

Hello, :-)

Don't panic, I am alive :-D

It has been so busy here. My sister and BIL are visiting from the South of England. They have rented a chalet a few miles away.
The ramp is being built in the back to allow me access out of the kitchen and into the garden.
My new electric wheelchair is perfect, and was able to show my visitors all around the village with it.

Looks like you are having a lovely holiday Linda.

Sue I hope all is well with you.

Well I am so tired. It is only 9pm and still daylight, but I am off to bed now.

Take care everyone :-)

LindainHerriotCountry Report 8 Jun 2015 19:05

I hope he is OK as he hasn't turned up

We had a day out today. We got a taxi to the local town of Lixouri then got a ferry over to Agostoli we set off to walk to a sea water lagoon where there are turtles to be seen, but we didn't have to go that far as some of them were swimming along the harbour wall, they were quite large.

We had a wander about and I bought a new beach bag which has cute little owls on it. It was too hot to wander around so we got the ferry back over and had a nice lunch in Lixouri before coming back to the hotel pool
