Goodnight Linda <3

Hello Sylvia :-) My son is in Florida at the moment. He is amazed at the weather patterns across the continent while he's been there. Stay safe <3

Hi Sue ...........

glad to see you have been let out of the cupboard :-D

I need to sleep as I was awake in the night because of the storm, I will catch up tomorrow

SylviaInCanada Report 4 Jul 2015 23:50

Linda ............

it will be very dry ............... California is bone dry, and Washington State has the same weather and fire problems that we have.

We'll all just have to keep our fingers crossed that she doesn't catch the chickenpox.

Problem is she will be infectious for about 10 days before anything shows. Have you got a Plan B?

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 4 Jul 2015 23:37

You will be able to sleep all next week in that case

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 4 Jul 2015 23:28

Up too early with them through the week and yesterday morning I slept in.....and loved it :-D

We can't complain - they are good children and easy to take out and about. They mostly clean up when told to and can entertain themselves. Just don't get much of a chance to sit and relax very often. Next week they have a day with their mum, a day with their step grandmother and three days with their father.

Oh good, someone let you out of the cupboard

Hello - here I am risen from the depths of exhaustion :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 4 Jul 2015 22:11

That sounds bad Sylvia. I know there is a big drought in California so we shall see what effect it has when we get there

We go next weekend, except there are three confirmed cases of Chickenpix in Esmes nursery, so what can possibly go wrong???

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 4 Jul 2015 20:23

lucky you, getting some rain

We're still hot and dry, and into stage 2 watering restrictions ....... watering lawns etc with sprinklers once a week between 4am and 9am only. Flower and veggie gardens can be watered more frequently IF necessary. No pressure washing of cars, sidewalks etc. Public fountains shut down, and water parks under restrictions

Vancouver Island is at Level 4 drought conditions. The water flow in the rivers on the Island is so low that all fishing has been banned in those on the southern half.

Everywhere is at high or extreme risk of fire, so no campfires, bonfires, charcoal grills in parks etc.

Thunder and lighting very very frightening :-(

Well I wasn't frightened, but we did have a huge storm over night accompanied by lots of rain which went on for a long time. I hope the barrels have plenty of water in now, i haven't been out yet to check

It is grey and misty this morning, but it should clearaway quite quickly if you believe the forecast

First time parents can be very silly, they learn when the second one comes along :-D

I have been to visit my next door neighbour in hospital again. Poor thing looks like a beached whale. She is stuck there until her twins are born, she will be thirty weeks on Tuesday.

I rather enjoyed time on my own with Maia, Anya and Evan. Though when Evan was really little he did not want to sleep at Nana's house. The girls were never a problem, in fact they were better for me than they were for their mum. :-)

The only time we looked after August when he was a baby was so they could go out.. they got worried, came home early and he had woken up and OH was entertaining him whilst I got his bottle. We got told that no we were not to do that, if he wakes up you give him a drink etc but you do not talk to him. LOL it is a whole different ball game with Stellan. The rules all went out the window.

I wonder if Sue is foaming at them mouth yet, as she has the grandchildren for four days this week, two of them on her own. Or maybe they have locked her in a cupboard :-D

He would need a computer, a few books and a Television. He would just need to come in for meals and put his clothes away. ah bliss :-) :-) :-)

He needs a big posh man shed of the garden where ever you buy. He could set it up there. You could send him out to spend all day there and you could have the house to yourself

I could borrow one of Tec's maid outfits. Now that's a blast from the past.

He did learn how to do the barista bit when he worked as a cost analyst for a company where coffee beans were one of their products.

I have asked where it will go and apparently he is going to put it in the garage wherever we move to. I do think it is like what a person says when he is caught with cannabis that it is just for his personal use.
