No fun in behaving :-D

Still a horrible day here. I was watching the rain from one of the bedroom windows. it was running down the garage roof into a gutter then down a pipe and splashing into the drain. It is amazing just how much water runs off a little roof in steady rain. No wonder the ground is sodden

Oh no, how are you going to make vats of tomato chutney Sue? :-(

I am very tempted to make comments about you being a dragon, but you would only stick your tongue out at me :-D

Take it slowly, Linda :-|

I hope you get to see the specialist soon, Sylvia. Sometimes the wait here can be a long one.

Hello there Tec - good to see you here :-D

We are back to warm, humid weather after an unseasonably cold start to the new year. Our tomatoes are all but over and we haven't had a decent crop from any of the plants nor decent cucumbers :-(

I'm just watching an advert for "dragon blood" skin care :-( Dragons must be endangered so we shouldn't be using their blood just to keep us looking young :-0 ;-)

I hope you get an appointment quickly Sylvia, you can wait a long time here

Only ten people turned up for the matinee, normally there would be at least a hundred.

I did lots of cleaning this morning and after lunch. I felt quite light headed by the time i finished, so i had a sit down and a chat to Tec. He was fine. I then had mince pie and coffee. I have been playing up my tree since then

Another yukky day here,, constantly raining. I may have to resort to doing some housework, although I could go up my tree instead

I must be feeling better because I cleaned the fridge the other day

I don't think I will watch any more, it is a drama, not a documentary about the railway

Just watching Jericho on the TV, it is a bit like Catherine Cookson. It is about the building of a fictional railway viaduct. Supposedly based on the Settle to Carlisle railway. I found one of my relatives in a navvy camp on the line in the 1871 census

It has been a horrible day here, OH went walking and it rained all day where he was. I managed to dodge the rain and went into the square to get lots of veg.

It is OH,s birthday next weekend,so I have booked a nice hotel break in Northumberland, well it is ages since. We had a hotel break :-D :-D

Hello Sylvia,

It makes such a difference when ones doctor is approachable , as you probably know, they are not all like that.
My last GP was totally indifferent to problems, and I suffered badly as a result.

I am very fortunate with the doctor I have now, and have every confidence in her.

Hi everyone

Tec ... it's lovely to see you back :-D

It sounds as if you have a lovely doctor .......... just what we all need but can't always find.

I did have good feelings from my GP practice when I needed advice before Christmas .............. well, they are supposed to be training Family Practioners!!.

Hello :-D

I have made a dent in the collection of coins I accrued lately. My daughter was here yesterday, leaving this morning. While here she did some shopping for me. So I paid using £20 in £1 coins, and some small change.
I started with £29-99p,
Now my daughter has a heavy purse :-D

My GP just called in on her way home from surgery - she only lives next but one,
but she is on holiday in Japan for two weeks ,and wanted to check that I am ok, and finding the nebuliser is helping. She examined my chest and had freezing cold hands. She has briefed another GP at the practice to keep an eye on me while she is away.
What with the two nurses that call twice a week, I think I am spending the NHS budget all on my own.

:-D my emoticons have died again, dropping two lines at a time.

It is so good to able to post again - albeit slowly.

It is a bit of a dilemma, just before Xmas we had a couple of sell out films including Lady in a Van. We gave out so many flyers at those performances that we had to do a complete reprint, so a huge number of people have the information that there will be a matine.
It isn't in the website though and because we had a children's film for matinees all last weekend, the poster on the outside board which advertises any matine showed the children's one all over the Xmas period. This film has only been on the board for two days.
Having advertised it, because the person who does the flyer got into a muddle with a complicated Xmas one, we are having to show it. The problem is that the Wednesday matinees are always silver screenings, showing suitable films. Not for us to censor people of course, but hopefully not many will turn up and they can be warned before they go in

Don't go falling over in the snow when you go out to build your snowman :-D

Talking to myself here, never mind.

We had cinema duty tonight and it was a film called Black Mass, a story about American gangsters I think. It has Johny Depp and the. Chap from Sherlock in it. Incredibly violent and non stop swearing apparently, but a good story never the less.

OH decided to watch it to see how bad it was as accidentally when the flyers were printed they put it down for a Wednesday afternoon matinee. That is when our older clientele who like films with Judi Dench in, come to watch. We have a clicker which we use to count the number of people in the queue if it is busy. He took that in and clicked on every occurrence of the f word. It came to 242, that should prove interesting tomorrow :-S
