I just looked Sue's weather up, she is south of Sydney, but it still looks bad. I hope they are OK

I just looked out of the window and it is snowing :-(.
I don't think it will settle though. I hope not as I need to walk to the cinema to try to sort out a problem with the phone, OH is out with the car, so I can't use that

I am not going quite as far, but I have just booked four rail journeys for half term. We will go down to London for the weekend so OH can do the garden for them. My daughter also bought some theatre tickets for the Saturday night, so we will look after both girls while they go out. Then we will bring Eve back here on the Monday. Iwill take her back on the friday, then come back myself on Saturday. Phew, all very complicated.

Oh and I also booked a four day trip to venice in April :-D

cloudy here

Sue ............ it was a good session yesterday. I felt really good after it :-D

Happy Birthday for Sunday, Linda's OH

Just in case I forget :-)

You know that our daughter moved to the other side of the country after she married ............. that's close to 6,000 km away. It takes about 8-9 hours door to door to fly, and that is only about an hour less than it can take to get to the UK

But we always think that we can't complain ............. not only did we raise her to be independent and do it her way, but we also left the UK without another thought to follow our dreams.

His birthday is on Sunday Sue, I will pass on your good wishes

It is difficult when they leave, you will get lots of holidays in Florida though

It is very icy outside. OH was going for his bike ride, but came straight back in when he saw the ice on the road.

Please wish your OH a happy birthday from us, Linda <3

How was the physio, Sylvia?

Very warm and humid here. Thank goodness for air conditioning.

Our son goes on Friday :-( We have such mixed feelings about him going. Happy that he is taking the next step in his life and sad because once he gets his residency sorted he will be moving over for the foreseeable future. I guess we bring our children up to be independent so can't complain when they make their own way.

Ah, I remember your physio man. Cruel to be kind I think.

It us sunny this morning, but cold. I need to have a walk out later to buy a birthday card for OH

Thank you for the birthday greetings. I have had several birthdays this month!! A pre-birthday lunch with my son and daughter on Saturday, my sister and her OH visited on sunday, I went to work and was received with many Happy Birthdays from all my friends there and then my neighbour took me to dinner at her place in the evening, and even gave me a birthday cake. I ate far too much and had trouble sleeping that night (last night, I think - I am still tired). Now you are giving me more birthday wishes. Oh well it doesnt happen too often.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 11 Jan 2016 22:36

I am glad you managed to get out Tec. I think you could set up your own antique shop, you certainly don't need to buy any more.

How can you burn bread in a bread maker??

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 11 Jan 2016 21:55

My brother and SIL visited to day. As it was a nice day, if a little cold, but it was good to get out in the sunshine and the mountains toward Snowdon looked beautiful in their snow capped summits.

It was so good to get out of the house.
We went for a pub lunch. Although it looked nice, I can't eat very much :-(

My brother and SIL went to do some, and I took the opportunity to visit a friend who has an antique shop in the town.
I was sensible and didn't buy anything, although in different circumstances I really
liked a brass ship's clock, made in Newcastle.

Sylvia I am sorry to hear about your friend. It must be difficult for you she prefers not to have visitors.
I can understand her point of view, but it has to be respected, but it would have been nice for her friends to say their farewells when the time comes.

Linda I have given my bread maker to my daughter. I wasn;t using it because it was took high on top of the worktop.
I also burnt two.

Sue - I never said that all the bad people are sent to Australia.
my emoticons have gone again (imagine a smiley face)
For all I know Linda's servants were lovely people but you know what she is like.
One speck of dust, and you're gone - deported.

:-D :-D :-D silly emoticons

Excuse me, my bread is always edible :-0

Yes, I took him home. A nice chap with Parkinson's. The trouble with living in the villages is that there is no bus service and once you cant drive, you are well and truly stuck

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 11 Jan 2016 17:30

Sue .................

The whole loaf was not spoiled ................... the top half looked perfectly edible in that it was not burnt.

I can't say whether it really was edible ;-)

did you remember to pick-up your man???

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 11 Jan 2016 12:42

Well we don't want the bad people here Sue :-0

It is very chilly outside. This morning I brought a chap in from one of the outlying villages to a day centre, I must remember to go and get him later. I walked into the square mid morning to go to the volunteer bureau to pay last months mileage money in. I had to wrap up well, which makes a change from the recent weather
