Dragging it up again, naughty Sue :-|

OH is back, which is nice

I have been up my own tree filling in people from the 1939 register, it is amazing how many lines I can fill in

LindainHerriotCountry Report 21 Feb 2016 13:33

Just realised why I am hungry, it is 1.30pm I have been up a Welsh gentleman's tree, not Tec this time, but the other one we know

No bacon sarnie?!? That's just not on :-| That brings back such nice memories :-)

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 21 Feb 2016 09:27

I think you should have done the nappies as well :-D

I have had a nice long sleep and it is now Sunday morning, but as OH is away there is no one to make the bacon sarnies :-(

I will either have to starve or get some food for myself, very bad form!

SueMaid Report 21 Feb 2016 04:55

A very early night and a nice long lie-in.

We have spent some lovely time with our great nephews. They area month old and so tiny. We cuddled them, fed them and then handed them over for a nappy change. Back to us for another cuddle and a nap....for the babies not us :-D

We have a busy week coming up so relaxing this afternoon.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 20 Feb 2016 14:06

Currently hurtling north.

I walked out yesterday leaving a toy strewn house, so will have that to tidy up when I get back as OH is away for the weekend.

I can foresee a very early night

I took her to the local soft play centre this afternoon. Luckily as we were paying another little girl of the same age arrived. When we went in, I could see they were on their own, so I introduced Eve to her. A smart move as they both happily played together and I sat and chatted to the mum.

I only have to entertain her tomorrow, we are getting the train back late afternoon.

It is still very cold here Sylvia. It looked sunny this morning,so we went out in the garden for a while, there was ice all over the grass, or diamonds as she insisted - I wish :-D

SueMaid Report 18 Feb 2016 22:29

I agree, Sylvia - why would you even want to have babies at that age? You wouldn't be there to see them grow up and they wouldn't have a mum in their young adult years.

It's easy watching my daughter's children. They come home on the school bus. They get changed and sort out their bags before doing homework. Aimee needs some help but after that's done they do their own thing. They even get their own afternoon tea. The only thing is Joel talks non stop when he has something exciting to tell you and it makes my head spin :-S

I often wonder how these old women who have babies at 60 or 70 get on when the kiddies are born and running around

It's raining and warm here ....... we changed our duvet back to the lighter weight one last night because the winter one was too warm

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 18 Feb 2016 12:25

We have played all morning, we even went out into the garden although it is icy.

I am having a little respite as she is playing and watching Ice Age 3 at the same time

I hope your medication kicks in soon so you don't feel dizzy anymore

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 18 Feb 2016 11:18

I suppose that's why we have our children when we are young - we can't keep up with them now. Eve does sound like such a delight - little girl giggles are the best sounds.

I do feel better thank you although my blood pressure is still low. It will take a little while for the new level of medication to settle my blood pressure. All will be well.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 17 Feb 2016 22:03

I am shattered Sue, two days to go now.

She is non stop and I am fully involved in all her little games all day long. It is lovely to hear her squealing with laughter though as we play the daft games she dreams up

I hope you are feeling better today Sue.

SueMaid Report 17 Feb 2016 21:25

Thank you Linda.

Are you exhausted yet? We have a school assembly to attend as Joel is receiving a pennant. I'm not sure what for.

The weather has been lovely over the last few days - warm but with a cool breeze and sunny. If it was like this all summer I would be happy.

Hope everyone is well <3

LindainHerriotCountry Report 16 Feb 2016 09:38

I am sorry you have been ill Sue, I hope they are able to sort your medication so yo feel better soon.

We brought Eve back from London yesterday, she was very good on the train. She was very excited to see her new climbing frame and lots of snow in the garden. She was straight out, but not for long because it was too cold. She had a good sleep last night and didn't wake up too early. We are going to bake some cakes soon, so we can take them with us when we go to play with the little boy next door this afternoon.

I am going to be worn out by the end of the week

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 16 Feb 2016 06:15

it's warm and wet here, yet again

Still, I was talking to the daughter earlier Monday ....... it was -13C when they woke up, -23C with the wind chill, and was about -1C when she was talking to me

So they hadn't been out either!

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 16 Feb 2016 00:25

I know that feeling, Linda.....all played out.

I've been a bit poorly over the last few days. I've been having dizzy spells so went to the doctor. My blood pressure is quite low so he has adjusted my medication. Hopefully that will work :-( I hate not feeling well....I suppose we all do.

The weather hasn't helped. It's so humid even when the temperature isn't high. I love working in the garden but it's not pleasant at the moment.

I hope everyone is well <3

LindainHerriotCountry Report 13 Feb 2016 21:34

All played out. Currently baby sitting while parents are at the theatre in Central London. Esme has woken a few times, but had gone straight back over with her dummy plugged in. She will be hungry soon, so I will have to put the pump on to start her tube feed. I hope she doesn't wake too much, if she realises it is me and not mummy, there will be ructions :-(

LindainHerriotCountry Report 10 Feb 2016 21:23

We went to collect the climbing frame yesterday. luckily it came apart fairly easily, OH only had to saw through a couple of rusted bolts. We managed to fit it is the car, which was pretty good going.
He started putting it together this afternoon, but it took him ages to work it out despite the fact that he had taken it apart. He was out in the garden in the pitch black using an inspection lamp for light. I is almost together now, so he can finish it off in the morning before we go down to London to collect Eve.

I had my ear syringed out this afternoon, so I can hear everything much better now, or relatively better as I am getting quite deaf

I spoke to Tec this morning, he sounded much better than the last time we spoke. His daughter had just arrived to stay for a couple of days. He was telling me all about his granddaughters adventures on her holiday down under.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 10 Feb 2016 21:21

That was nice of you, Linda - I'm guessing not many people would do that.

Persie - at least the drums went to a child who will enjoy them. Perhaps his parents won't ;-)

Drew has a small drum kit that OH found at the side of the road. It's a children's kit and not complete but he enjoys playing it as does Joel. Drew does drumming at school and has often conducted the other children during music time. Something he really enjoys.

Hot sticky weather here but that's February - generally the most humid month. Hard to imagine our summer is nearly over. It has been a strange summer.

Persephone Report 9 Feb 2016 09:58

My boss made a similar mistake as the seller did on e-bay Linda. He put his son's drum kit on Trademe, a few years ago now but he put buy now for a $1 instead of start price. This little lad arrived at their posh house's front door to collect it. He could only just manage to carry it away. The parents of the child did not ask if a mistake had been made, probably from a poorer area not all that far from them. We all thought it funny including himself for doing it.
