SueMaid Report 30 Dec 2014 21:47

You must have enjoyed those riotous New Years if you can't remember them Tec :-D

After the build up to Christmas and the day itself I prefer some quiet time.

I think many people prefer a quiet New Year, after the Christmas gatherings.

I can think of some riotous New Year's :-D

can think of them - can't remember much though :-D

We have an invite next door for drinks, but I don't think I can be bothered

SueMaid Report 30 Dec 2014 21:35

Sadly no party - we like a quiet New Year. I will do a nice meal and then relax with a glass of vino. We will watch the fireworks on the telly.

I probably will be Linda - might rampage around the village with my wheelchair festooned with fairy lights - causing a disturbance.

We don't have any police here, so I won't end up in a cell :-D

LindainHerriotCountry Report 30 Dec 2014 21:28

I hope you won't be drunk in charge of a wheelchair Tec

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 30 Dec 2014 21:21

Hello Sue,

Hope you have a good guzzle tonight then :-D

LindainHerriotCountry Report 30 Dec 2014 21:18

Good morning Sue

So are you ready for tonight?

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 30 Dec 2014 21:17

Hey.....are you two besmirching my reputation behind my back? I don't drink......I guzzle :-D

Tell your daughter Tec - she will be very annoyed with you if you don't. You are a worry :-(

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 30 Dec 2014 21:15

Maybe she will skip the cinnamon toast and head straight for the ribena :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 30 Dec 2014 21:13

If you are sure :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 30 Dec 2014 21:12

I will have to tell her as the District Nurse is coming back Friday morning, and daughter will be here. :-0

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 30 Dec 2014 21:11

Traditionally the drinking begins after the cinnamon toast, so she will be saving herself :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 30 Dec 2014 21:08

It is just 8am in Sydney, so maybe she hasn't started drinking yet, but you never know

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 30 Dec 2014 21:05

Make sure you do tell her Tec, she will be cross if you don't.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 30 Dec 2014 20:59

Yes Sue will have her best party dress on today :-D

Maybe she is going to the City to paint it red.

We can watch their fireworks :-D

Sorry I disappeared abruptly last night - no, I hadn't died at the keyboard. I fell asleep in my chair, and woke up at 11-30pm.
Haven't been sleeping very well for past few nights, so I suppose it caught up with me.

I remember back in the dark ages rummaging around a scrap yard for a starter motor for an ancient Vauxhall Viva that the Duchess owned. Was able to take it off the scrapped car for myself, and they charged me next to nothing.

In more recent years I have enjoyed going around architectural scrap yards, where they have all manner of wonderful things taken from grand houses, churches etc.

The District Nurse is back visiting. I have developed an ulcer on the ankle of my "good" leg. It started the day before Christmas Eve, but I looked after it myself all over Christmas. Jolly painful too.
Disappointing, as I've never had trouble with that leg.
I knew something was going on, which is why I went back to see the surgeon a month ago. He did some tests re circulation, but said there was nothing wrong.
Had he have done a scan, the ulcer would have been picked up, as it comes off the main artery. :-(
Though I suppose nothing would have stopped it developing.

My daughter is visiting Thursday, weather permitting. I am reluctant to tell her that I'm in trouble again - she has had enough worry with me this year. Oh well.
