Hello Sue, it seems odd to have the new school year starting now.

My daughter phoned this afternoon, she was trying to get Eve to do her homework which was some sort of sheet about what she did at Christmas. Eve just wanted to play a game on the iPad.
Esme shouts for the phone and pushes random buttons, so it is like having a musical conversation until she manages to cut us off

Nasty wet day here in Wild Wales, with gale force winds.
My daughter and SIL are here.
They have spent the day tidying up my top rooms, and have got a car load of junk to dump, or for the charity shop.

Poor Eve's dad having to explain that one. It's all back to school stuff here in our big stores. I've already started to put a few things on one side for Drew as he seems to need quite a few things this year.

I talked to Eve on Skype last night, she told me that she was going to have Easter eggs today. Her reasoning was that Easter comes after Christmas. She had been to the supermarket yesterday afternoon with her daddy, so I wonder if they saw some eggs and he had been trying to explain it to her

When I went to the supermarket last Sunday they had Easter eggs on the shelf, 2 days after Christmas. They are mad.

8 degrees is quite cold during the day here, its a normal winter nights temp. We don't get a lot of frost here because we are high up on a hill. We got a lot of frost when we lived in the city, north of Melbourne.

We couldn't be bothered Carole, we were just happy to stay in and watch TV. I only had one glass of wine all night and that was with dinner

41 sounds dreadful, no wonder you will melt, it is really warm here today in comparison to the last few days when the white frost never cleared. It is all of 8 degrees today

Lovely day here, although I cant say the same for Saturday as its going to be 41, I am working, I will melt :-S

OH has gone out walking with the Ramblers, madness I call it. It is a horrible grey day outside, but not frosty

I will have to explain to the neighbours why we were old frumpy and didn't go round last night.

Even though I don't post on here every day, I do come home some afternoons and read the thread sipping my coffee and after a yucky day, its lovely to have a little laugh to myself.

It was a quiet night here last night. OH went off to bed well before midnight as we have been working through the Christmas break.
I have booked some time off early next month. I shall just be spending time at home. Time to catch up on some rest and relaxation :-) We also have a wedding coming up on the 14th of Feb, I'm looking forward to that :-)
