Good Morning Sue, :-)

The fires in SA look very serious - I feel sorry for everyone involved, and hope there is no loss of life.

Persie - Your book collection sounds like the one here - I must offload lots of them somewhere.
I could always start a bookshop of my own :-D

Ah Persie - as always you do make me laugh :-D

Hi Jem - hope you sleep better tonight :-)

Very hot day yesterday with high humidity but I'm not complaining. The raging bush fires in South Australia and Victoria far outweigh the discomfort of our weather :-(

If you go to the station early you can sing "down by the station early in the morning" :-)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ to Persie :-) <3
Good Morning / Afternoon / Evening Everyone in whatever Time Zone / Parallel Universe that you inhabit ;-) :-D :-D :-D
It's now 6.49 am in UK, and I have been awake since about 5 and didn't get to sleep until about 1.30ish :-0 :-0 :-0
So I decided to get up.
I've watched 1 of my recorded "Pobol Y Cwm" episodes from the recording box. This is my favourite soap, which translates to "People of the Valley". It is recorded mainly in Cardiff, but is meant to be about the fictional village of Cwmderi, in a rural area near where I live in South West Wales.
I'm now toying with the idea of doing the T**co shop, as I can't go back to bed cos I have to give Grandson 1 a lift to the train station a bit later. He is going shopping / for a meal in Swansea with his Girlfriend and friends.
Bye :-D :-D :-D
Love Jem <3
Oh dear.... oh dear late for the New Year.. I actually went to bed at 9.30pm but never fear the bloke next door let off fireworks just after midnight.. so I was up again and then could not get back to sleep.
I had a lot of reading to catch up and was due to come on here last night but we watched a film that we had recorded "Quartet"... very good it was too.
Back in 1965 when I was in Sydney we stayed at a hotel at Potts Point and would walk up to Kingscross to the coffee shops (coffee shops were relatively a new thing then) and also did clothes shopping etc. No idea about whether that sort of carry on happened then.. didn't notice though was well aware of it in Auckland.
The nearest bus stop to my Girl's high school was outside the "Pink Pussycat" and a few other erotica stores.. the Headmistress decreed that her gels were not to either walk past it on that side of the road or catch the bus from there we were to head in the other direction to the bus stop further along the road. The school is still there and so are the *** shops.
I read all sorts of thrillers, other fiction and non-fiction, but I have heaps and heaps and then some more to get through from when I owned the bookshop.. plus I get a lot from the library as well.
You wouldn't know that we had culled so many, sold some and others to charity shops and several bags of them to a friend and a whole lot of children's annuals to another friend for her little girl. Not Paddington though.. he stays.
Thinking of you all.. Persie
Don't look at the people Sue, that is an even better reason to talk to a point on the back wall (((((hugs))))) for you
SueMaid Report 2 Jan 2015 21:28
Tec - I do need to catch up on some gardening. OH mowed the lawns yesterday so I will tidy the garden and do some potting. My favourite hobby :-D
SueMaid
SueMaid Report 2 Jan 2015 21:25
I don't have a problem speaking to large groups of people - I've done it for years. I'm concerned I may get emotional and not be able to finish.
LindainHerriotCountry
LindainHerriotCountry Report 2 Jan 2015 21:17
I can't imagine sitting down to iron. To be fair OH normally does the ironing
I am sorry you have a funeral Sue. Just look over the heads of the people and talk to the back wall and you will be fine
Tecwyn Report 2 Jan 2015 21:13
Good Morning Sue,
Hope OH, SIL, and children have a great time camping, and the weather is good for them - what fun they will have.
Sorry you have to attend a funeral - don't be nervous, you'll be ok.
Enjoy your peace and quiet - maybe you could tend your pots :-D
