Whatever they say, I'm sure they had fun - as for the men, well you will have to ask them :-D

I like it when everything returns to normal .

The weather doesn't look good this week, but apart from visiting the Duchess during the week I have nowhere to go, and plenty to be getting on with at home.

I expect the children will lots to tell you about their adventure Sue.

Perhaps if Eve is allowed to help take down the tree she won't feel so bad about it

Join the club Tec, I have no idea either

Tomorrow we are going to take Eves tree down, I don't think she will be very pleased

Hello Tec - I'm pleased you had a good day with your brother and SIL.

Please give our regards to your sister and BIL, Linda.

I'm waiting for OH to come home today to take down the tree and decorations. I'll be glad to see them put away.

Hello,

Nice sunny day here - rather cold. Had the first frost this winter, but didn't last long.

Went for lunch to the pub with brother and SIL.
After they went I dismantled Christmas,, tree back in box, and the cards taken down.
Tomorrow everything returns to normal thank goodness, I have been very confused as to what day is was lately :-D

We went to see my son first Sue. We are going back via my sisters on Tuesday

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 4 Jan 2015 21:44

Did you visit you sister and BIL too?

Nice to be able to go shopping with your daughter - I wouldn't imagine that happens often even when you were down in London every week.

It's raining here today. We had a noisy storm yesterday afternoon but it didn't cool down. I don't envy the men and the grandchildren camping in this weather. Apparently they had a storm too. The children have been swimming most of the time - they all love the pool.

I like them all.. though with Poirot I do not always watch David Suchet, but I do love the furniture and décor in those ones..

My favourite Agatha Christies are the ones with Tuppence and Tommy.. sadly there has not been anymore of those... I liked the fashion in those.

Whereas Miss Marple despite me working out who dunnit quite easily, I have not been enamoured with her clothes etc.

Happy New Year to you all xxx

we got back earlier this morning (Saturday), and I'm just getting around to visiting my favourite threads :-)

We had a very quiet Christmas, just 4 adults and 1 almost-5 year old, and daughter cooked a boneless, stuffed lamb roast instead of turkey ...................... it was good, but oh how I've missed cold turkey sandwiches!!!

The two train trips were fantastic, as always :-)

I've only read back about 3 pages .................. have I missed anything important????

I did notice the Miss Marple actresses comments .................... I always thought that Joan Hickson was the image of my mother-in-law, but a much nicer person :-D

Hello, everybody. I tried to get on here last night but the computer wouldn't let me.
I hope the experts can sort out the 2 sites that are giving me problems.
Now to see if I can post this.

I was about 10 when I first heard of the Hobbit.. to be honest was not that enthralled with it but as it was read to us at school it meant an hour or so of doing nothing but listen, it suited me fine.

Bountiful Utah..the one thing that stands out there is the Mormon Tabernacle I have some of those 5th cousins twice removed buried in Salt Lake.. they left the rest of our lot and went there but a lot later than 1846..

Have always felt that some of my ancestors who came here in the 1800s were fairly hardy.. the old villain of the family went to Australia in 1832 they obviously didn't want him because he came here in 1840.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 3 Jan 2015 23:34

It is not impossible that our ancestors knew each other - how interesting. I must look up where they emigrated to in Utah.

The Hobbit is hard going at Joel's age and his mum wonders at how much he is understanding the book. He's giving it a go so good for him.

Goodnight,
Tec :-)
