LindainHerriotCountry Report 8 Jan 2015 23:22

I can't imagine how he could have four keys on a metal key fob in his shoe and not feel it

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 8 Jan 2015 23:16

The good thing is that your OH found his keys in the end - we all do things like that - well I do, and I'm not crackers :-D

I may be barking - but not crackers :-D

Sounds like you need more air on in the house Sue

LindainHerriotCountry Report 8 Jan 2015 23:06

When he came home after his walk, he had lost his house keys. He had them when he left home, but rather than take them on the walk, when he takes his shoes off to put his walking boots on, he puts the keys in his shoes and leaves them in the car.

He searched the car and decided that he must have dropped them in the car park when he took his boots off. Only after searching for ages did he take his shoes off and find the keys still in his shoes. He had gone for tea and scones in a cafe then driven home, how crackers is that

It's a nice dream :-D

Horribly warm and humid here today. We look like having a thunderstorm later in the day. The nights have been very uncomfortable even with the ceiling fan :-(

The trip around the radio station sounds good - something Drew will remember :-)

What's this about a villa - has someone won the lottery? :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 8 Jan 2015 21:59

I would only have a villa if it is fully staffed, I am not cooking or cleaning on my hols :-|

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 8 Jan 2015 21:48

That would be wonderful - we could all rent a large villa.

Better still, I was watching a programme about Richard Branson's private island in the Carribean.
He rents large accommodation for £40,000 a week - but it's very nice. :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 8 Jan 2015 21:44

So do I, shall we all go together?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 8 Jan 2015 21:31

Hello, :-)

Been a lovely sunny day here too - but the forecast is grim for all of us for the next few days.
I am not planning on going anywhere until at least Sunday, when I am hoping to visit the Duchess, so long as this bug has left me.

I need a month on a Greek Island :-D

I hope you enjoyed your birthday meal Sylvia.

It has been a sunny day here, but chilly outside. I spent the morning catching up on household admin which had built up over the holidays. I also had bought some new magazine files for the study,so I sorted them out

I had a walk into the market square this afternoon to post some letters, I also took some carrier bags full of baby clothes and baby toys to the charity shop

Actually I have been quite a busy bee. I had to move the medicines before Eve came in case she got to them. I went through everything and have thrown away lots of things which were out of date Goodness knows where they all came from

Thank you all for your good wishes xx

OH and I will be going out for dinner in a little over an hour ................. not to our favourite place, as he always closes the first 2 weeks in January :-(

We're going to the little "bistro-style" place near home ........ and then we will go over to the Island in about 10 days, and have my real birthday dinner with our friends over there.

It was very foggy this morning, and it never really did clear up although the sun tried valiantly to shine .............. for about 10 minutes around noon :-)

About 25 years ago, OH was involved in a provincial government education program looking at updating the syllabuses for several subjects.

One day he brought home the new Grade 12 History exam (ie, the school leaving exam more or less equivalent to A levels) ........................ we both got very high marks on it because so much of it was either WW1 up to the start of WW2, which we knew from reading about it, OR the 1940s to the 1960s including the Korean and Vietnam Wars ............... which we knew from being alive then!

it made us feel very old!!
