I'm just watching the news - poor France :-(

Goodnight Tec - keep warm <3

Tecwyn Report 9 Jan 2015 23:02

Goodnight Linda - hope the wind doesn't keep you awake, it is very noisy here too.

I will go to bed now too,

The nurse will probably be here at 9am, and I need to be up and running - well, you know.

Enjoy your day Sue - hope it doesn't get too sticky,

Goodnight,
Tec.

Not martyrdom simply the truth Tec, goodnight again ,

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 9 Jan 2015 22:58

Oh dear.............martyrdom :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 9 Jan 2015 22:58

That might explain where the money had gone :- :-D

I am turning in now, but the wind is buffeting the bedroom walls, so sleeping will be interesting. Sleep well Tec

Have a nice lazy day Sue

SueMaid Report 9 Jan 2015 22:56

You two make me laugh :-D

I haven't had man flu but I've had lady flu. You know Linda - the type of flu where no matter how lousy you feel you still carry on without complaint :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 9 Jan 2015 22:53

In that case - he keeps a bankroll in the toes for emergencies :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 9 Jan 2015 22:50

He doesn't take sandwiches, he has two small steel flasks, one for soup and the other for juice or water, so I don't think they would fit in

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 9 Jan 2015 22:47

Walking shoes or not, they should at least fit, not have enough room to carry his keys in them.
Maybe, he carries his sandwiches in them :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 9 Jan 2015 22:44

OH insists they are his shoes, but they are like walking shoes rather than formal ones,so they are quite big. Even so, it is silly

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 9 Jan 2015 22:44

Sue understands how dreadful man flu is :-D

but she's never had it herself, only seen her menfolk suffer with it :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 9 Jan 2015 22:42

Wheelchairs and scooters can liberate many peoples lives, giving them freedom and independence.

A stairlift is an essential item if needed - I was lucky because there was already one fitted here, though I did need another little one to get me up two steps.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 9 Jan 2015 22:38

You have had man flu??

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 9 Jan 2015 22:38

Someone must have breathed on me - but I hardly ever go out .

Linda - did you inspect OHs shoes today, to see if he had a strange pair? - two sizes bigger than his :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 9 Jan 2015 22:36

I do have much sympathy for Tec - man flu is a dreadful illness. I've had to suffer through it on occasion :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 9 Jan 2015 22:35

There are a lot of people who think that way. It isn't giving in. In fact it's the opposite as you know. It's a way to stay independent and mobile. The scooters and wheelchairs have given a large number of people mobility and the organisation is proud that we are able to do that.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 9 Jan 2015 22:32

Tec has a real chesty cough, he needs sympathy

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 9 Jan 2015 22:30

Yes it 's man flu Sue - the worse affliction known to mankind,
but I shall suffer in silence, just growl at the television :-D

I know of a man who has Parkinson's disease - his wife won't allow any disability aids in the house, as she say that is giving in to it.

Stupid woman - poor man

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 9 Jan 2015 22:21

Oh do you have man flu Tec :-(

We will probably be able to get more storage. OH hates the garage being full of chairs and walkers but we won't knock them back as we can always find someone who needs them. We only lease out the mobility scooters. The other stuff is given to people who may need them.

There are limits, and they take up space.

I'd like to live on the ISS, then I'd be weightless and could just float about the place.
