Lonely Fred?

Lonely Fred is some poor old guy, nobody knows him, nobody loves him, spends his days on the park bench watching the world pass by.
Just thought I'd say hello :-D

Hello lonely fred :-)

Sylvia what a shame that your friend broke her arm only days before she was due to move - what rotten luck at the worse possible time.
I'm sure that she will welcome your visit, and assistance.

Cold grey day here, and I've been very lazy again.

Hello Sylvia, I was wondering where you were. Last time you posted you were about to go for your birthday meal, so I hoped you hadn't been poisoned :-D

Your poor friend, it is good that she has an overlap in the moving times. My son fractured his elbow when he was little. They just put a sling on that to immobilise it. The joint was too swollen to have a cast put on it, so maybe your friend has done something similar.

I was just looking in to see if there was any news on Sues daughter.

Hi Sue and everyone

Sue ............. sorry to hear that your daughter is ill. I do hope they can make her better quickly so she can enjoy her holiday.

Tec ................. I fight with duvet covers as well .............. so I let OH have the pleasure of changing them :-)

The weather has been very quiet here .................. no wind, lots of fog, and some rain.

We're going to the Island on Thursday for the weekend, to continue the celebration of my birthday with our friends there, and also to give some help to our friend who moved into a condo just before Christmas.

I don't think I mentioned it before ................. she was due to move the day before we left for our train trip back East, but she fell just before the movers were due to arrive the previous day to pack, and broke her arm. She went to look at something in the garden, stepped on a Douglas fir cone, it rolled under her foot, and down she went.

Actually, I think she may have only fractured her arm because they did not put a cast on it, she's just been wearing a sling and unable to use it .......... her right arm of course!

Anyway, she wants us to help her with pictures ............ removing them from the old house and helping to hang them in the new place. Possession of the house does not happen until late in February, so she has been able to take her time in moving some things out.

sleep tight up abovers

have a great day downunders

That doesn't sound like much of a relaxing day to me, :-D

I had a relaxing day - did nothing, except fight with a duvet cover :-(

It's just toast with cinnamon sugar, Linda. Usually served in cafes for morning coffee. It's too sweet for me but the children love it.

It's pouring here. Very welcome after an uncomfortably hot week although it's still quite humid.

We had a relaxing day yesterday. OH picked up some donations, cut the grass and tidied his veggie garden. I did sheets and towels, cleaned the bathroom, vacuumed the house and dusted. When we finished relaxing for the morning we went out and did some grocery shopping :-D

Linda - try to fins a recipe for cinnamon bread, then you could have cinnamon toast .

I'm sure I've seen sliced cinnamon bread in a Jewish bakers where they also sold the most wonderful and delicious cakes using lots of honey and almonds.
Shoe sp pastry soaked in honey and covered in almond flakes.
