I've done what your mum did before now.

I couldn't pull the bowl out as it was too full, so I found something to bale it into something else. It will have to stay there as I can't carry water down the stairs.

I can manage the staircase if Archie comes with me, and going up and down sideways, then walking with one elbow crutch.

It is very cold up there as the heating isn't on up there, so I didn't stay too long

How did you empty the bowl, did you have to drink it?

My mum used to crawl upstairs oh her hand and knees and come down on her bum :-D

Most tv is strange these days - very boring.

I managed to get to the top this afternoon.

I checked the leak down the chimney as we had torrential rail all night - bowl full to the brim as I suspected.

Also made a start of sorting some books by filling some empty boxes with them. Someone else will have to carry them down for the charity shop.

I hope they can fix it as well, I am having to watch TV, OH does seem to watch some strange things

What a pain :-( I do hope that the man can fix it in the morning.

You will suffer withdrawal symptoms, and that's not nice.

If desperate, drive to a local hotspot with your tablet.

Going from bad to worse, now I have no internet. The local service has been fixed, but they need to come in the house to do something. An engineer stuck a card through the door while we were out this afternoon.

I eventually got through after 15 minutes on my mobile. They have now identified the fault and an engineer is on the way.

The fix time is by 10.05 tomorrow. I have my physio assessment at 10, so OH will have to stay in, not good as he hasn't a clue about our systems.

I have managed to log in via my phone, but the connection is flaky, so it won't last long

I am bereft without my internet

I have no phone service this morning,although the internet is currently working. When I checked first thing it said the service was working normally, but I have been out all morning and now it says there are both phone and internet problems and an engineer is working on them.

I tried to report the fault via my mobile to Virgin who the line is with, but there was a 30 minute wait,so I didn't. I tried just now and the queue was still 20 mins :-(

Hopefully the engineer working on it will sort it out and my internet will continue to work in the meantime
