I went for my physio assessment today. I was asked if a young trainee could do it. She spoke very quietly, so I could hardly hear her. She seemed to be having trouble remembering all the tests she was supposed to be doing.

Every so often, she went outside the curtains to talk to the real physio who was there. I seemed to cause her problems because I wasn't conforming as a textbook case.

After she did all sorts with my knee, he came in and checked it all again :-(
One of his "does this hurt" enquiries really made me shout out because it did.

She gave me some exercises to do and I have to go back in three weeks

Hello Linda,
Hello Persie,

I did it again :-(

Hello Persie, moving can be a nightmare. Many years ago some close friends were moving house. The van went off and they put the last few things in their car. When they stopped for lunch, their car was broken into and amongst other things, a briefcase was taken. It contained all of their paperwork, passports, documents etc. what a nightmare that caused

Hello...

was all set to be here yesterday but then went and read the Assisted Suicide thread.

Insurance is a tricky business.. when we went to stay at a cabin after August was born we took pots and pans and billy-cans etc and they would all be covered by our contents insurance... but when we moved because it was lock stock and barrel all going the insurance company stipulated that everything had to be moved in the horse truck.. we were hoping to use the van, car and trailer as well.. but they said no if anything happened with goods in vehicles other than the horse truck they would not pay out. so we was good, but it certainly limited us.

Hope you get that leak sorted Tec.. or else you will have containers galore up there..

It is good that you have found a second handyman Tec, it must be good to know you have someone to call on who you can trust

I am connected through my iPad to next doors wifi, with their permission of course. I have the code for when I babysit for them. The connection is a bit iffy, but at least it works as long as I stay at one end if th e lounge.

I was just saying to her that I was considering swapping to BT, but they have that and aren't happy with it, so are thinking of swapping to Sky. We used to have Sky TV, but took it out because we kept losing the signal. It was worse in the summer when the trees were in leaf because even on the very top of the chimney, the signal had to pass through a huge tree and it couldn't.

Next door put a Sky dish in a few months ago and rather than put it on the roof, they put it on he side of the house in direct line with one of our kitchen windows,so we weren't pleased

Oh that's bad news Linda - suppose you were in business?

I would seriously consider changing your ISP when you can. I thought someone was supposed to be calling at the house, obviously they didn't.

As for calling India - I get palpitations just thinking about it. :-D

My very useful handyman called today. He replaced the hose on the tumble dryer that was split.
Repaired the cold water tap in the bathroom wash basin that wasn't playing.
Replaced the outside light by the front door, as the old one was badly corroded by the salt air.
I am going to get him to decorate the hall when I'm ready. The previous chap did a good job with the bedroom and bathroom, but I can't take anymore crazy conspiracy theories :-D

No I am not Tec

I got an email on my phone this morning telling me the fault was fixed. Odd that I still have no phone and broadband then

So I called India again from my mobile, we will answer your call in 30 seconds said the jolly recorded lady. Wrong ,it took 15 minutes. Really abrupt Indian chappie then tells me that he can see the fault hasn't been fixed, but why am I bothering them when they have five working days to fix it.

When I pointed out that the email said it had been fixed, he said that had been sent out in mistake . Obviously I am supposed to know this.

I now have used just about all of my mobile data allowance for the month because I was using my phone as a wifi hotspot for my tablet over Christmas, that doesn't refresh until the 24th.

In the meantime I can see loads of people complaining on Virgins Facebook page about lengthy spells with no phone or Internet, so I don't hold out much hope of being reconnected.

It's so annoying that some people think they can help themselves to other people's belongings.

Amanda - my daughter has a nasty infection that came on very quickly. She was really quite ill over the weekend. She was blasted with antibiotics which made her feel worse for awhile but she is feeling much better now.

Goodnight Amanda,
Hope you can get the camera back - good hunting.

I'm going to bed now, as I hardly slept again last night,

Enjoy your day Sue - hope the sun shines,

Goodnight,
Tec.

I have plenty of food in Amanda, so don't need to go out.
The lady from the village shop will always bring anything I do need if I can't get out.

Visiting the Duchess will be difficult, but it may occur to her that I have not come because of the weather.

I had to leave her a message the day to say I wasn't coming as I had a heavy cold. :-(

I think it's probably always been that way where allotments are concerned Tec , it is sad that vandals / thieves won't just let folk be :-(

I'm going to say " cheerio" and go and search through the local " selling pages " on facebook , you never know , someone might be stupid enough to put the camera up for sale .

Catch you all later x

Amanda2003 Report 12 Jan 2015 22:42

I guess it depends on the type of insurance cover Linda , ours is very basic I think . Sweet dreams to you .

Yes Tec , the sheds are an easy target , all we can do is put up more barbed wire every time this sort of thing occurs .
