Goodnight Linda, sleep well - keep warm

Oh....pikelets are little fluffy pancakes eaten with jam by my little ones who all love to mix the batter.

We have a reverse cycle aircon and ceiling fans in the other rooms. The ceiling fan is our room pulls in the cool air from the aircon so our room is usually comfortable at night.

I must be off as our neighbour wants a hand getting rid of a couple of big shrubs in her garden.

Goodnight Tec and Linda <3 <3

Enjoy the rest of your day, Persie <3

I am sitting in my big armchair hugging the radiator - Sue and Linda know exactly where I'm sitting. :-D

we all have central heating Persie. A boiler heats up water and the hot water is piped to all the rooms in the house and through metal radiators on the walls which let the heat out

LindainHerriotCountry Report 15 Jan 2015 22:33

Persephone

Persephone Report 15 Jan 2015 22:33

Yes.. Linda.. we called them aircons when I got them installed in various areas at where I worked..

But heat pump has become the norm now.

You get phone calls from people either wanting to sell you insulation or heat pumps all the time in Auckland. Once upon a time it used to be "do you want your chimney swept?"

Thank you Persie,

I don't think we have them here, well not in general use anyway - good idea in very hot weather though - should we get some

Persephone

Persephone Report 15 Jan 2015 22:27

They are called heat pumps... but they go up on the wall and you use a remote and you get warm or cold air... all the holiday homes that we go to have them..

they do both... I am not advocating Mitsubishi but this is what they do

Still deciding Persie. There is some very nice timber flooring out there. I think we have decided against carpet in all but the bedrooms.
