So did we all Tec , the amount of folks on the plot that have all thought the same thing :-S it is actually nice to know it WASN'T him .
I'll be going up the allotment in the morning and pestering for the barbed wire ( as we haven't managed to get more in place yet ) .

OH is watching it as well, but it isn't exactly gripping

It is a bit boring, and slow. :-(

Well , the main thing is that you got the stuff back - what they do with him is up to the court.
He's not likely to re-visit the scene of his crime any time soon whatever happens.

I have pangs of guilt now, as I suspected your previous nutcase :-D

Amanda2003 Report 16 Jan 2015 21:09

Tec , I have them " bagged up " in plastic bags already :-0 The camera opens up and is full of batteries ( I haven't attempted to open it ) so hopefully there may well be finger prints inside .
I've been looking at the low lifes Facebook page and it seems he was " on a tag " last year , hopefully he will get actually locked up this time , but as you say , they often come out even worse than before :-| :-(

Linda , we certainly won't make the same mistake again .

I'm watching the Great Allotment Challenge :-D BBC2

Tecwyn Report 16 Jan 2015 21:01

Amanda,
I'm wondering if those items that were stolen should have been handed to the police initially for finger printing, proving a positive link to the thief.

Maybe, I don't know?

Hello Huia, sorry I missed you there, lots of posts arrived together

Hello Huia - Hope you are well :-)

More often than not, these thieves and rogues go to court, get a slap on the wrist and community service.
or they go to prison and come out worse than when they went in.

That is brilliant news Amanda. now don't leave it in the shed again. The police should be able to get the boy for the break ins, or for handling stolen goods at the least

Eve has a scar on her forehead from when she fell down at school last term, but she needed steristrips on that cut. This one isn't as deep, but it is in an obvious place. I put the photo on Facebook, I will send it to you Tec

Hello Huia :-) very lucky indeed :-D To top it all , the young woman who bought the things back only lives five mins away ( literally ) . :-0

Hello Tec ,

Yes , he does need locking up , from what I am hearing , he is basically a " one man crime wave " ( I use the term " man " loosely ) . Hopefully , the more the police can link to him at this moment in time the more chance there is that he will get locked up !

Sorry to hear the Nurse has let you down ...again ! It is frustrating as well as irritating for you no doubt :-(

Hello Amanda,

That's an amazing stroke of luck :-) quite a coincidence. So glad you got your camera back, and peace of mind that the knife is not out there in the wrong hands.

That low life needs locking up for everyone's sake :-0

Hello,

It's been a nice sunny day here, clear, crisp, cold. That awful wind has dropped.

Your have been busy in the study. Well done.

Your poor daughter, her head must be spinning. Poor Eve too, her cut is bound to heal not leaving a scar.
My daughter developed a huge lump on her eyelid when she was seven yrs old. I forget what they called it. She had to have an op to open the eyelid.
I was convinced she would end up with a bad scar, but she didn't. Within about six months there was no sign of the op.

The nurse was supposed to call today. I planned to visit the Duchess, now that the wind has dropped. Waited in all day, then had a phonecall at 5pm to say she would come in the morning. So I could have gone after all.
The nurse did this last Friday too. Grrr
Anyway, perhaps I can go tomorrow. I need to do some shopping as well.

Oh dear Linda , your daughter must be exhausted and sick of the sight of the hospital . I hope Eve's eye is okay , you can never be to careful where eyes are concerned . I hope she doesn't end up with a scar .

I am currently " cock-a-hoop " and rather stunned at a strange turn of events . Our daughter was talking to a friend today about the allotment break in and loss of camera / knife , the friends sister was also there and piped up " I think I've got those things in my house " :-0 She is involved with a low life youth ( who had been arrested today for beating her up ) and was only to pleased to return the items to us . I've phoned the police , to let them know the things have been returned and shall await further unfolding of this strange situation .
I still can't believe that the camera is back and more importantly the knife !

Good evening one and all. It has been a horrible day here, with more snow this morning, although it has all gone now.

I have had an industrious day sorting the study out. I still have more cupboards to do, but it is coming on very well. Last week we bought some better quality magazine box files to put on shelves instead of the white cardboard ones we had. Of course we didn't buy enough,so I had to order some more. They arrived this morning, so I finished the swapping over. I then used most of the old ones to sort things inside the cupboards.

Poor old Eve has had a bad day, or at least her mum has. Eve managed to throw a large block into her own eye at school and cut it near the eyelid. Her mum got a call at work at 12.45pm.Unfortunately Eve's dad had driven to a meeting in Birmingham today,so my daughter was on the bus. She had to collect Esme from nursery on the site where she works then get a bus which takes thirty minutes to her home town centre. Then she got a taxi to go to the school and wait outside while she collected Eve to go to A&E.

Eve seems to be fine, although she looks like she has a real shiner. She already has a scar on her forehead where she fell over last term. I hope this one will heal up because it will be obvious. That is my poor daughters fourth trip to the hospital this week as Esme had three appointments during the week
