The poor man - standing there for 36 years cutting your hair.
He should be allowed to retire - it's cruel :-0

LindainHerriotCountry Report 25 Jan 2015 21:40

He does have trouble with his knees. We have aged together :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 25 Jan 2015 21:36

Can the hairdresser still stand up?

Do his hands shake with the scissors? :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 25 Jan 2015 21:34

I was a young girl when I started going :-D

I first went there when I was having my first baby and he is thirty six mext week

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 25 Jan 2015 21:31

What's a girl like you doing in an old ladies hairdressers? :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 25 Jan 2015 21:29

That is true :-D

I think the clientele is mainly older where I go so they cant afford to give pensioner rates, or that would be everyone

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 25 Jan 2015 21:27

You have more hair than him :-D

I have a bus pass, I use it all the time in London, but we hardly have any buses here,so I rarely use it at home

I don't get pensioners haircuts where I go, but OH does

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 25 Jan 2015 21:24

Good Morning Persie,
I don't get pensioner rates on anything, except haircuts.

I think I qualify for a bus pass, but never use them, and couldn't anyway.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 25 Jan 2015 21:18

I can't do it now as I am too tired - my daughter wears me out. I wish I knew what she is on :-D

and I don't blather - I only talk sense - mostly - sometimes - on occasion

We have fisheries inspectors all over the place. you can only fish for certain size snapper and only so many. Same with Paua, lobsters, cockles and all sorts..

When we walked past these two people fishing off the little jetty, one chap had set himself up in a canvas chair and it had a canopy and he had some material draped over it as well to keep himself in the shade.. the other person had check long pants on a hat and a padded windbreaker with a hood.. she must have sweltered in all that gear.

We get pensioner rates for travel and the suburban transport is free including the ferries to Waiheke Island and Devonport in Auckland. Some coffee shops offer you 10% off when you produce your pensioners card.. and the other day when I went to the health food shop .. I said oh darn I left my health food shoppers card behind (have no idea what you get with that.. not a discount card) and the woman serving me saw my open wallet and said oh you have a pensioners card you get a discount... To think of all these years I have been going to this place and never knew.. saved $4.00

Silly man, do it tonight then you will be able to sleep. I wondered if you could tie something to the bottom as well to stop it from slipping

You should do it now instead of sitting blathering to me :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 25 Jan 2015 21:12

No I haven't, not with everything else going on.
I do have a plan however, there is a small plastic coated wire clothes wrack here that the Duchess used occasionally.
I think I may be able to do something with that. I think it could be attached to the end of the bed like a little tent.

I may do it tomorrow.

Is it Australia day, today down under as it is their morning now

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 25 Jan 2015 21:08

Have you made something for your bed so you can sleep better, if not why not

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 25 Jan 2015 20:51

I think they use maggots and mealworms.

The Queen Mother was apparently a very good fly fisher, right into her old age.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 25 Jan 2015 20:46

I don't think they use worms we shall have to ask Persie, she will know

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 25 Jan 2015 20:39

It's a pleasure Linda. :-)

I have never been fishing either. Many folk enjoy it, but I can't think of anything more boring than sitting on a muddy river bank for hours on end dangling a worm off the end of a line. :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 25 Jan 2015 20:34

Ah thank you for explaining that Tec, I have never been fishing before
