I have just read Shaun's [pst, I am pleased he is safe. I hope that his mum will be OK

Tecwyn Report 27 Jan 2015 20:44

That was this evenings Welsh forecast, so we shall see.

I have more of Milo's biscuits in than anything else :-D

If the worse comes to the worse, I have plenty of food in the freezer to last.

Linda, you are spared the perilous trec into the badlands - Shaun has surfaced.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 27 Jan 2015 20:40

I didnt realise the bad weather was starting so soon. I hope you don't run out of biscuits for Milo

I think I will see to my leg myself in the morning. I have the stuff here, and know exac
tly what to do - I've done it many times on my other now departed leg.
I can phone and tell them not to come.

Tomorrow we are forecast gale force arctic winds, rain, hail, and snow. :-0
I shall wait to see how bad it is before I go out.

I know , there are some very strange things in those hills

It is really annoying that the nurse didn't have the courtesy to phone. If you need to go shopping and to see the Duchess, just go, they will have to arrange to come back after in the week

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Jan 2015 19:22

The nurse didn't turn up - I could have been waiting in all day as far as she knew. I expect she will come tomorrow sometime.
Have to bear in mind that there are some very sick people out there to be seen to. My problems are minor compared to some poor souls.
Even so, they could at least phone me.

I see that you have offered your services in the search for Shaun, who appears to have gone AWOL.
That is very brave of you to even consider venturing into darkest Wales at this time of year.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 27 Jan 2015 17:18

I hope she turns up, so you dont have to hang about tomorrow as well

I wasn't growling - and neither am I a cantankerous old goat - well not all the time :-D

Yes the new curtains look very smart. I have matching tie backs but have to fix the hooks yet.

My leg isn't too sore today, so hopefully there maybe some improvement.

I expect the nurse will call at 5pm now, on her way home. Trouble is I have to be ready for her anytime from 9am onwards.
Didn't matter today as I had visitors anyway.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 27 Jan 2015 16:37

Well done Tec, now stop growling at us, we only want you to be able to sleep

Are you pleased with the new curtains?

I hope the nurse takes the bandage off and tells you that your ulcer has magically vanished

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Jan 2015 16:30

oh for goodness sake,

YES - the bed is sorted..........

not without a struggle - my idea of the small clothes wrack worked - sort of.

it is not ideal, but will do for now.
My nurse is due anytime now - I am going to ask her if she can get a proper cage type thing especially made for the purpose.
I did have on once years ago.
If not I will buy one.

My brother and SIL . They put my new curtains up in the dining room,

Very dull here today, but not too cold.

We have just been out to lunch in one of our posh pubs, We took you to it once Sue. They had a promotion where if you visited all five in the chain and got a card stamped, you got a free bottle of house wine in the last one.

Even though we have been to this place lots of times, it was the last one on the card, so we got the bottle of wine. I only had one small glass out of it as we were going straight on to deliver library books, OH didn't have any as he was driving. We brought it home to drink tonight. We also had a £10 off voucher given to us by the last place, which was good. Plus I finished getting the other side of the card stamped, so we get £10 off next time we go.

I like my posh pubs where it is dining rather than pub grub, well we are worth it :-D :-D

Gone lunchtime here.. I went for a walk into the Main Street to collect the mail (there wasn't any :-( ) And bought my son-in-law and daughter a combined birthday card his was the 18th Jan and hers will be 8th Feb.. so usually send a cheque and card in between... and there were no 40th ones but found one with various NZ steam trains on it ..they were identified on the back.. thought August might like that. So then it was just some grapes and a freshly baked loaf from the bakery and walk back and 'dam'n I did not see one beaver.

Houses burning down are so sad especially when you know the people.. a friend from down the road and I were coming home one night, turned the corner into our street and there were Fire Engines and it was her house.. Her younger brother was disabled and used to be always pushed in a pram.. their burly next door neighbour rescued him and the grandmother.
