Your Andy Murray is doing very well in the Australian Open.

Tecwyn Report 29 Jan 2015 22:36

I now have a very nice young lady doctor, though I'm sure that she should be in school :-D

She even phoned me at home after I'd been home a while, to see how I was doing - that has never happened before.

She waved at me the other day when visiting her colleague, also a doctor at the same practice, and living next door but one to me.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 29 Jan 2015 22:31

I am pleased you have a nice new doctor

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 29 Jan 2015 22:25

I knew a GP who reached for his prescription pad as you walked through the door.

As careful as my GP was, ironically it cost the NHS thousands in the end.
Major surgery and nearly three months hospitalisation.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 29 Jan 2015 22:20

Some GP's are like that. On the other hand we have a doctor in our surgery who is only good for handing out repeat prescriptions. He is a very nice young man but is so indecisive he often asks you what you think should be the next step.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 29 Jan 2015 22:18

Yes I do know what GPs are like, and paid a heavy price because of one, who also thought he was personally paying for everything.
Even looking up how much medication costs before prescribing it :-(

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 29 Jan 2015 22:15

You know what GP's are like Tec. I am convinced he thinks he has to pay for everything out of his own money, so he wont authorise anything

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 29 Jan 2015 22:11

I think your GP should have arranged the scan in the beginning, not months later. :-|

LindainHerriotCountry Report 29 Jan 2015 22:07

It is four months today since \I hurt it. I had to ring for an appointment to see the specialist to get the results, that isn't until the end of February

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 29 Jan 2015 22:04

Let's hope something good comes from the scan and you receive the treatment you should have. It's been going on too long :-|

It is aching Sue, but only because I did too much walking round. The hospital is huge and the MRI place was as far as you could be from the car park. I then went into town and wandered around while I waited for it to be time to have my hair cut

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 29 Jan 2015 21:56

How have you been today Linda - is your knee aching?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 29 Jan 2015 21:54

ooh, I'd love it to be 16C :-D

That was very kind of Berona's daughter to send a card.

I also miss Berona, and still half expect her to pop in on the thread. I deeply regret never meeting her,

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 29 Jan 2015 21:52

Oh that is lovely Sue, I still expect to see Berona telling me about your weather when I look in

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 29 Jan 2015 21:48

It was 16C at that time of morning which of course is quite balmy where you are but is a touch chilly for high summer here.

I received a lovely card in the mail from Berona's daughter. It reads -

To Sue and all the Aussie thread - thank you for the lovely flowers. Mum enjoyed your thread so much each and every day. Love (and the names of the family).

I have to admit it bought a tear to my eye - I do miss Berona popping in :-(
