Goodnight Amanda,
Hope you get a more restful night now that it's all over.

Linda - Maybe your OH has man flu, which would be awful. Even so, it would be very inconsiderate of him to sweat :-D

Hello Sylvia.
GR is like the Mad Hatter's tea party lately :-0

sleep tight Amanda xx

Does the hospital have a gift shop?

It is often possible over here to find hand-knitted baby clothes in the hospital gift shop.

Thank you Tec :-D

Sylvia , I must admit I have never had to deal with any of my daughters having a c-section before and know next to nothing about them . It must have been quite a task for you to manage :-(

Linda , we don't have a mothercare around here any more . I think I shall go and see what I can online , she has some tiny baby clothes but I think they will swamp them , especially Orion .

I shall bid you all good night , as I hardly had any sleep last night even though I wasn't at the hospital .

Thank you again for all the good wishes x

Good evening Tec, I hope you are awake :-D

I have had a sore throat all week, although it hasn't stopped me talking :-D It just hurts when I eat or have hot drinks, I also have a bit of a sniffle, I have just ignored it of course

After dinner OH said he felt a bit sniffly,so he has taken to his bed, he seems to be huddled under the covers and over blanket. I hope he doesn't get all sweaty because I just changed the bedding this afternoon

Good job Amanda is super gran, I can just see her with one twin tucked under each arm.

when my niece was born twenty six years ago, she was even itty bittier than your two Amanda. Then you couldn't buy the tiny sizes in ordinary shops, the clothes were from specialist shops and were incredibly expensive. These days everyone seems to be good at passing clothes on to their friends and family, which saves a fortune, but not many people have tiny ones

Welcome to Odin and Orion, wishing them both health, wealth, happiness, and a long life.

Congratulations to Megan and Dean, and the proud grand parents of course. :-)

Amanda

it will help that she is living with you ................

we had no help, and J was born at exactly the same time that exams were being written and marked at the uni, so OH couldn't take much time off.

My m-i-l did offer, in a half-hearted way, to come over from the UK to help ............... but we turned her down (for many reasons).

So I had to do as much as possible on my own.

J had an abdominal operation last January, and was on a restriction of not lifting anything heavier than 5 lbs for about 6 weeks.

It all depends, of course, on how big the incisions are, inside and out

The problem with itty bitty ones is that no one has hand me down baby clothes to fit them.
Eve was about five and a half pounds, so was swamped by the first size clothes, we had to go out and buy lots more. At least mothercare sells premmy baby clothes now

Sylvia , I don't doubt you are quite right , my daughter can be quite impatient but I think she has excepted she may be in for some time , she said earlier if she gets out sooner it will be a bonus . She won't be able to drive for some time ( her little car is very low to the ground , I struggle getting in and out ) . Her chap will have time off work and so she should be okay for helping hands .
At least the babies are itty bitty ones :-D

Hello Von :-D thank you for the congratulations .

Linda , my daughter and her partner live here with us . They couldn't afford to get a place of their own , they will be here with the twins for at least a couple of years I should think :-0 At least she will have help on hand to deal with double trouble .....lol

I hope Sue enjoys her drive down the coast .
