I don't think they ever got two hours sleep Sylvia, Esme wakes at least twenty times a night, most of the time, she just needs her dummy putting back in. Her brain wave patterns are different from the normal sleep, she doesn't go into the deep sleep level, it is all part of the syndrome

Hello dear people .
The twins arrived at just before 3 am , our daughter had to have a C-section as neither twin had gone head down , it also emerged that the slightly bigger one had the cord round his neck ! ( which may account for why he hadn't gone head down ? ) . Anyway , every one is okay , daughter obviously very sore . They had tried to slow the labour down ( in the hopes of stopping it ) as they wanted to get a second steroid injection into her after 24 hrs ( to strengthen the babies lungs ) . When they rushed her to theatre ( at 2.30am ish ) , she was already 5cm dilated .
Babies are in neo natal but are not too tubed up , they are feeding etc .
Names ; Odin Michael and Orion Alan . 4 lbs 4 ozs and 4lbs 2 ozs respectively .

I'm proud of my " baby " Megan and her partner Dean <3

I am not allowed to post photos on facebook yet as Meg wants the chance to be the one to declare her news to the world but I'll put some up as soon as possiable ......phew :-D

Thank you all for the pacing and words of encouragement <3

Edit to say the weights are wrong , I've put a correction but it's before this post .....lol

Glad to hear that Esme's anaesthetic test went well. xx

I hope this means that they will get more sleep ........ 4 hours in one go is much better than only 2 :-)

LindainHerriotCountry Report 30 Jan 2015 22:28

It will make such a difference if they can get just a few hours

I am off to bed now.

I hope you have an even better night on the floor or wherever it is you go :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 30 Jan 2015 22:25

That is very encouraging news. Four hours sleep is incredible given her normal sleep pattern.
I suppose it will be trial and error for a while.
Allowing for time she has to be fed at night.
Sounds like a positive step though - at last

Esme had her anesthetic trial at the hospital this morning, it went fine and she slept for a massive four hours and that was with the ful dose. She cant have any tonight, so hopefully this will be the last really bad night. If she isn't going to sleep for very long, they will experiment with the timing and maybe give it to her when they go to bed rather than earlier on

I agree - they are horrid when greasy. They are like that from Fairthingy, where I never go.

The one in town is never greasy, really nice deep piece of cod or haddock in a nice crispy batter, and the chips are good too.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 30 Jan 2015 22:04

I like fish and chips from time to time, OH thinks they are too greasy

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 30 Jan 2015 21:58

oh that's all right then. :-D

I quite like fish and chips, when they're nicely cooked. There is a fish and chip restaurant in town - it's really good. They do other things as well.

I wonder if GR will sort this mess out tomorrow? it's all very odd

LindainHerriotCountry Report 30 Jan 2015 21:53

Luckily he hates fish and chips so he never goes in there

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 30 Jan 2015 21:50

Well it's best to look after him Linda - you don't want him running off with the girl from the chip shop :-D
