Very kind of someone, but you don't eat them. Maybe Sue next door can help you out

The tv is never on during the day. I normally put it on for the six o'clock news.

I do like to have a radio on, even if I'm actually listening or not. I like to listen to Radio Wales at breakfast time to get road and weather reports, and Welsh news.

I hate TV or radio on in the background, I only have it on if I am actually listening to it

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 31 Jan 2015 20:26

I also listen to Radio Four, and Radio 5 live sometimes.

The radio is on all day here, sometimes I'm listening - sometimes not. It is company.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 31 Jan 2015 19:58

like listening to radio four as well

The clock was not expensive, one of those plastic radio controlled kitchen type clocks.
Pointless asking questions, nobody ever knows anything :-|

I did buy her a radio months ago. The Duchess loves to listen to radio 4, and Classic FM. She listens to it constantly.
That is still there, it was relatively expensive, so if that disappeared I would definitely take it up with the manager.

How can you loose a clock? Have you asked the staff where it is? They must see things as they go around the rooms. It is a shame about her watch, I suppose small things are easy for others to pick up

Sorry that you got so cold and wet out shopping Linda.

I managed to visit the Duchess for a couple of hours this afternoon. She was fine, though she'd lost her watch, and the wall clock I bought for her room had "disappeared"? so I will sort out one of the watches she has at home, although not a gold one.

The wind in town was horrendous, coming straight off the sea. I managed to make it into the home - just - but on leaving I had to ask one of the male carers to see me to the car - very embarrassing. He held on firmly to the back of my jacket.

Now going to find something for dinner. :-)

I am back. It was horrible out there, nasty slushy snow. The bottoms of my trousers were so wet by the time I got back, that I have had to change them. It is absolutely nithering, I am really cold and glad to be back in.

Take care when you go out

Take care eskimo Nell :-D

Sorry to see that OH has been struck down with man flu. That is serious :-0 so plenty of tea and sympathy is the order of the day.

I am hoping to visit the Duchess today, as the wind isn't too bad. It is just raining.
