Hi everyone!

Tec ....... how wonderful to find your friends after so long x

It's wet and warm here .............. still have the remnants of the Pineapple Express

meanwhile, the East Coast is having heavy snow falls, ice storms, etc

I am so looking forward to talking to them Sue. They are apparently coming over on what will be their last trip in April. So looking forward to meeting them.
Rather sad about having to tell them about the Duchess, as the two "girls" were very close.

Pity you are having cool evenings, but time yet for it to change

Hello Carole and Huia :-)

How wonderful Tec to be in touch with old friends. You will have so much to talk about :-)

I love early mornings in the garden in Summer. Strangely it has been quite cool in the mornings and evenings here for the last week or so. It is usually still warm through the night at this time of year.

Last night, through another site, I managed to track down long lost friends of 45 years.
They were friends before we were married.
Anyway they emigrated to Aus, promising to forward their address when they found some to live.
We moved back to Wales not long after they emigrated, and assume they wrote to the old house.
So we lost contact and it bothered us ever since.
I made several attempts to locate them while in Sydney, but to no avail.
Not surprising, as they are apparently on the Gold Coast up in Qld.
Just made contact last night when the other site blocked me.
I sent a message by devious means re my e-mail address.
Tonight, expecting an e-mail, BT my ISP is having e-mail problems.

Have so much talking to do, I prefer to use e-mail

Yes, I knew it stayed much lighter in the evenings there, we have to rely on lighting. I don't mind sitting out at night, although we have to put up with mozzies.

Hello Huia,

It is truly me :-D :-D :-D. honestly.
Wasn't trying to fool you, just a technical hitch, now put right I think. :-(

It stays lighter here much later in the summer than it does with you. It can still be light at 10-30pm in mid-summer evenings.

I think Sue commented on it once.

Tec, your fb page disappeared yesterday, and now there is some other man using your photo. Have you changed your name? I presume it is you, but was a bit wary at first in case somebody had stolen your photo to trick us women into becoming his friends. :-0

I like early morning, and late evening in the garden in summer. Frequently sit out there till it's dark, providing the midges are not biting :-)

Tec, That is the best part of the day in summer. Although you would not think it was summer here today. Yesterday was lovely, not too hot.

Tecwyn Report 3 Feb 2015 21:18

Carole - I love to get up really early in the summer and wander about the garden. Not so fond of it at the moment though :-0 :-D

Should have had a parachute :-D

Those old fashioned bedsteads were really high. Could do some real damage if you fell out :-D

The last time I was in a high bed was when I was six and staying at my Grandmother's sister's house. I managed to fall out of bed during the night and that got them both up to see what the commotion was. :-S

The Duchess had that problem Persie, when we had a deep pocket sprung mattress - she had to sort of jump off the edge :-D

Persephone Report 3 Feb 2015 21:03

I actually came on here last night to tell you our new bed arrived on Monday so now have had two sleeps in it.. when I sit on the edge of it my feet don't touch the floor.

Hello Everyone, :-D

Thank you all for your welcome to the other side - it was the second coming :-D

Woke up to a winter wonderland this morning, but it melted by lunchtime

Hello :-D

You would be miserable too if you walk around in the ice and snow all day, Tec :-D

Maccas does make good coffee, Persie :-)

Carolee Report 3 Feb 2015 20:53

Maccas makes excellent coffee.

Good morning, I decided to wake up early this morning :-)

Its so nice to be able to wake up when you feel like it, I dont want to waste my days sleeping though.

Carole.

Glad to hear your ankle is improving... you could easily make an ice-pack for it where you are and make one for Linda's knee while you are about it.
