Sarah Jane who us a master butcher owns one of the shops in the town, the one I use. She had been ill all week, but hung out until Saturday afternoon when she had to go home. She was back in on Monday looking dreadful. I spoke to her yesterday and again today. She had just been to the doctors ab
Nd been told that it was flu not just a cold and she should have been in bed for a week. I dread to think how many people she has served this week. Everyone you talk to knows someone with it

There seemed to be quite a few gay orderlies and nursing staff when I worked at the hospital. One orderly turned up one day with ping leg warmers on and this older woman (lot older than the rest of us) relief staff member said to him how lovely give us a twirl darling which he did.

Must be something about the hospital type occupation because we also had one teaching nursing at the Polytech where I worked in accounts plus there were several gay women working in that department. Our receptionist said to the male one "I saw you in K road the other night what were you doing there?" (this is our sort of red light area) His reply was. ""I was working the opposite side of the street from where you were working darling."
