I just copied the link into Google and it came up

We will just go there for lunch and the afternoon, but then we will have to go to the Stanley Arms as they have rooms to rent. Unless you fancy camping of course

We are following the list in height order even if it means doubling back

Tecwyn Report 10 Feb 2015 20:19

ok - so now we are off to the Cat and Fiddle, which incidentally refused to appear for me on google.

How long are we staying their for? before we set off for the Stanley Arms?

Where next? I guess we will head off towards Buxton, but as a foreigner to these lands, I may be wrong.

There are lots of Green Men pubs Sylvia. but not on our "highest" list

Today we are moving on to

www.catandfiddleinn.com/

Unfortunately it doesn't do accomodation, it only has a camp site,so we will need to find somewhere else to stay

It will take us 2 hours 31 mins to get there, but given Sue's behaviour last night, I think we should leave fairly early, so we could have a late lunch at the Cat and Fiddle.

I think we should stay at the Stanley Arms which is just a few miles away

www.stanleyarms.com/

They do 4* accommodation and food, so we could have our evening meal there.

hi everyone

I know, I know ............... I've missed you all :-(

Amanda ...... that is very good news about the twins. I hope they will be released soon xxx

whenever we went on any coach trips when I was young, they always seemed to stop at a pub called The Green Man ............. no matter where we went

I gather there are a lot of pubs called The Green Man in England :-D

are there any at high elevations??

I have two bonsai Japanese maples. There leaves are already turning to Autumn colours.

The days are getting a little shorter too :-(

It is mandatory to grow old - it is optional to grow up :-D

I hope things work out with the seeds Amanda, you should be alright to put them in the greenhouse by the time they are up.

I'm glad that Maisie has turned out so well for you Sue, and become a loved member of the family.
We never had a dog that didn't fit in with us perfectly. They all lived to a good age.
I do miss not having one now.

Well time for bed now,

Sleep well Linda, and Amanda, keep warm,

Enjoy your day Sue, hope the rain goes away,

Goodnight,
Tec :-)

Sue , your Maisie has certainly found the best place for herself in your household :-)

I am going to be off now , may as well get some sleep when I can :-)

Have a good day Sue and night night Tec .

I don't know about me being a " spring chicken " , although I do still have my mad moments ....lol

I've bought the seed trays indoors , as it isn't warm enough yet in the greenhouse for germination , so the windowsills are getting jammed up . Once things are up and going they shifted to the greenhouse , well , that's the plan anyhow :-S

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 9 Feb 2015 22:55

Sounds like me too :-D

Goodnight Linda - sleep well <3

We have seen two dogs well into old age. It's heartbreaking when the time comes but I wouldn't have it any other way. Whoever let Maisie become a stray have lost a lovely little dog. She is bringing much joy to our household so their loss is our gain.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 9 Feb 2015 22:52

Trouble is when you're young, nobody tells you about getting old, and all that entails, though you are a Spring chicken yet :-D

How encouraging to be sowing seeds in anticipation of things to come.
March is nearly here, and that means Spring to me, if it is a little early. Much depends on the weather - but we have longer daylight, and it should warm up.

I think some of his symptoms have come to most of us in some degree or another .....lol
Oh , the joys of getting older .

I've been out in the greenhouse today , planting seeds :-D :-D :-D

Amanda2003 Report 9 Feb 2015 22:38

Tec , as I've said before , when you get a puppy , you take on also that inevitable wound at some point in the future , he has had a wonderful life and bought a great deal of joy and laughter with him , he isn't ready to go just yet ( I hope ) but he has got very wobberly on his legs and I don't take him on many walks now , he just likes loafing about and eating ....lol

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 9 Feb 2015 22:35

Tecwyn Report 9 Feb 2015 22:35

Maybe you will get some decent late summer weather Sue. Shame for you son and Aiden in Hobart, not having had much of a summer.

Amanda, it's awful when our dogs reach that stage in life, and such a hard decision to make when the time comes <3

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 9 Feb 2015 22:32

Oh the photo is lovely Amanda. Did you knit the hats?
