Actually Sue's OH likes kilts

You can have tartan trousers instead if you insist

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 14 Feb 2015 21:56

I'm not wearing a kilt - especially at this time of year :-S

think of the draught,

bet you won't be in a skirt :-D

Can't see your OH agreeing to it either, or Sue's OH

LindainHerriotCountry Report 14 Feb 2015 21:50

It is all arranged,so you will have to wait and see. At the moment, you just need to get your kilt organised so you can look the part in Scotland. Don't choose blue though otr we will lose you on the carpet :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 14 Feb 2015 21:36

You sound like a travel agent :-D

I said it didn't matter - I don't want to put you to any trouble.

I'm just intrigued as to where we are going.

As I haven't been anywhere it will all be new to me anyway :-)

I have just been rescheduling our trip to accommodate your wish to visit your ancestral home. I hope you realise that will incur an extra admin fee :-|

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 14 Feb 2015 21:17

I'll just assume it's the dawn chorus :-D

You won't say that if it is you he wakes up

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 14 Feb 2015 21:02

Tough - they should be asleep - not listening to other people :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 14 Feb 2015 20:59

His whistling in the middle of the night might annoy people who are trying to sleep

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 14 Feb 2015 20:55

No of course not - but he can wait outside and whistle :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 14 Feb 2015 20:54

I don't think he will be allowed in the ladies :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 14 Feb 2015 20:40

LindainHerriotCountry Report 14 Feb 2015 20:29

You will just have to wait and see

I hope that the beds will be comfy in the wigwams, I hope I don't have to go outside in the middle of the night to find a loo

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 14 Feb 2015 20:18

No, please don't alter the itinerary just to please me. It was just an idea as I have no idea which direction you are going in, except South.

It will be interesting to see the route, be it to the East or West, and you've found some good places so far.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 14 Feb 2015 20:03

We are going far up to the north of Scotland, but then we have to travel the whole country to get to Devon, so we will make a long detour to South Wales to please you. I will alter our itinerary.

I wonder what put that into the Duchesses mind? Maybe someone with a baby had visited the home

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 14 Feb 2015 19:36

I suppose it makes sense to meander into Scotland before travelling South.

The WanlockHead Inn looks interesting. I rather fancy sleeping in a wigwam :-D

How far into Scotland do you propose going? Time and distance will be a factor.

As we traverse South, and should we find ourselves in the Cowbridge area of South Wales, then I have a personal request.
Although this venue does not qualify on height location, I would rather like to stay in my ancestral home of Plas Llanmihangel. Now running as a B&B. Featured on tv by Lawrence Llwewelyn Bowen some time ago.
Don't worry, if it can't be done I won't sulk.

It was a nice sunny day here. I visited the Duchess. She was fine, though we did have a bizarre conversation. She was apparently disappointed that I hadn't brought my new baby to show her.
I never know what to expect when I visit - but often leave with my brain scrambled.
She seems happy in her own way, that's all that matters now.

:-D :-S

Now we have a dilemma because the only other English pub is in Dartmoor right down south. As we are so far north, maybe we should do the Scottish ones first then drive down south. That way Sue and Sylvia can fly back from Heathrow once we are finished.

OK, Scotland it is. First of all we have the WanlockHead Inn, a two hour drive from Nenthead, ooh it has blue tartan carpets

http://www.wanlockheadinn.co.uk/

Ooh again, Wanlockhead Inn has Wig-Wams available to rent, if you were looking to stay over. Prices for the wig-wams are £15 per night, per person. The Wig-wams are fully heated and come with TV and Wi-Fi access. That is different.

All this virtual touring must be over tiring you. When we move on today, we will stay in the same area for a few days so yo can get some rest

Sorry I disappeared abruptly last night. :-(

I didn't drop dead at the keyboard, but did fall asleep, woke up at 11-30pm .

Poor old soul :-D

I don't want Rooney's No 10 shirt :-0 might be useful to polish the car with.

Nice sunny day here - I might go out later.

I wonder if he was arrested for taking the shirt :-0
