Hadrians Wall - I'll be happy to see it again. We were there a number of years back and found it fascinating.

We worked hard yesterday clearing out the garden shed. OH was ruthless and got rid of a load of stuff that he had forgotten about. He surprised me by finding a couple of old glazed pots I'd forgotten about. He also cleared a shelf for me to put my pots within easy reach. A very productive morning.

Hello Sylvia,
I would like to see Hadrian's Wall.
The Romans were also here, and we have miles and miles and miles of stone walls.

However, I don't think Hadrian put his name to any of them - more like Emyr, Geraint, Osian, Owain etc. :-D

It is good to see the forsythia that heralds Spring.

Linda I hope that you find somewhere suitable for us to stay tomorrow.

Maybe if the weather is good you could go for a play on the swings with Eve :-D

We still have further north to go in Scotland, we will do that tomorrow.

Ok on the way back down to Wales, we will make a stop at Hadrian's Wall. I will take you to my two favourite places on it and we can make an overnight stop nearby when I find somewhere suitable

After much prevaricating Eve is finally in bed, I hope she sleeps in tomorrow morning. Her father normally looks after Esme on a Monday, but I bet we end up with her as well

good!!!

I'm glad we are staying another day.

It's a lovely area.

Any possibility of a little detour around Hadrian's Wall? Even just a little bit of it?

I think Tec would enjoy seeing that ........................

I was there for the first ever in 1995, same year that we went to Wanlockhead ...................... it was a misty, slightly drizzly day, and it was the eeriest experience I think I have ever had. There were not many tourists around, and we often found ourselves the only ones out at a Roman camp site.

One could almost imagine that one could hear the noise of marching soldiers away in the mist

Good to see you have arrived safely xxxx

Tec .............. yesterday afternoon was really sunny here, so OH was out in the garden tackling some overgrown climbing roses. It's sunny again today, and he's out there again.

I think I might get some branches of forsythia to force inside :-)

I am very comfortable here, and would be happy to stay for a week, but I realise we must move on, otherwise our glorious guide will be cracking her whip, and we don't want any of that nonsense - do we?
;-) :-D

Glad to see that you have arrived safely Linda :-)

As your OH is enjoying the whisky, I think we will stay here for another day Sylvia.
The mining museum looked good, so I would like to see that

A beautiful sunny morning here. Real warmth in the sun, and a feeling of Spring :-D

I spent some time in the garden as it was too nice to stay indoors.
Pruned the rampant wisteria within a inch of it's life.
It wasn't done last year, as I wasn't here, so it had made too much growth and hard wood. Beautiful though it is, the wisteria can be a bit of a beast if left unchecked.

Wales leading Scotland in the rugby - 26 - 16, at the moment, six minutes to go

OH will be making inroads into their stock of single malts :-)

he loves going to stay at the hotel on the Island when we visit our friend ................. at last count they had over 140 whisk(e)ys, from all over the world.

Apart from trying the Welsh one last time ............ he sticks to the single malts.
