Sorry I disappeared, family time intervened.

Now it us bedtime. I must admit I am looking forward to our new hotel.

Tomorrow we are taking Eve swimming, oh joy :-(

Goodnight everyone

All good suggestion Tec - must try them all :-D The chairman was in a grumpy mood and he grumbled at me at one point. I said I would just keep quiet and he apologised. I suppose I could have started a fist fight but that wouldn't be ladylike ;-)

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 17 Feb 2015 22:44

Well Sue, why didn't you do something to liven up proceedings? :-D

Singing quietly,

Address the Chairperson "You can't be serious"

Talk into your mobile giving an imaginary person a cake recipe.

Just go to sleep anyway

:-D :-D :-D

Bye Sylvia - enjoy your coffee <3

I went to a meeting yesterday afternoon. It was more boring than usual :-(

Sylvia - I will vote, because I feel I have a duty to do so, but I feel that none of them are worthy of my vote.

I disagree with much of the current Government policy, but the alternative fills me with trepidation.
So what do you do?

We do have one relatively new party rising - with somewhat bizarre ideas, and no serious policies, even though they have done well in some areas.
I do think they may affect the result of the overall vote.

I expect we will end up with another coalition.

coffee time :-)

see you laters

It is so good when things work out that way Sue, and wonderful for the children.
Not everyone is cut out to be a good parent, not prepared to put in the commitment required.
Very often the children are better off without them, while the single parent battles on to do their best for them, being both mother and father - it is never easy.
Especially when a living has to be earned.

Tec .............

we have a fixed date for our Federal Election, and it has to be held on or before that date ...............................

so the big excitement is trying to work out whether the government will call .......... gasp ............ an early election :-D

I know that I will not be voting for the party in power ........... apart form being philosophically opposed to many of their policies, our current MP will probably run again, and she pays no attention to any constituents who are not of her ethnic grouping

but ....................

who else to vote for???????????

OH and I both tend to vote for a candidate who seems to be the best for our riding ............... there really is little to choose between the major parties most times, but the current PM has taken his party too far to the right .......................

and attempts to muzzle adverse press reporting, and also has forbidden many government employees, including government scientists, from speaking publicly or to the media without going through his Press Office

He said he wanted to re-build Canada in his "image of what Canada is" ............... and he's had far too long at doing it :-)

My daughter and the children are definately better off now. They have a stepfather who adores them and gets them involved in lots of activities. Their father doesn't know what to do with them which is sad.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 17 Feb 2015 22:11

I agree with you Sue - I too have seen the unhappiness caused when people stay together for the sake of the children. Everyone seems to suffer.

Still heartbreaking though when seen through the eyes of a child, who cannot be expected to understand.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 17 Feb 2015 22:06

Our General Election is in May Sylvia - I am bored to death with it already, and the serious campaigning hasn't really begun yet.

We hardly ever get any prospective party candidates calling here, which is a blessing in itself.
Though I do enjoy a good argument on the doorstep.

It is wall to wall Plaid Cymru here - the Party of Wales, so the other party's know they have no chance.

I don't vote for them, as I strongly disagree with their seperatist ideology.

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 17 Feb 2015 21:59

she must really enjoy them!!!

such a pity about their Mum and Dad :-(

but also ...................... it is often better, I think, for people to separate if things really cannot be worked out rather than stay together for the "sake of the children".

I saw too much of the unhappiness that the latter can cause with friends from my schooldays.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 17 Feb 2015 21:56

Sylvia, the triplets are identical facially, the only difference is that one is slightly taller than his brothers.

My sister is their grandmother, and she is very good with them.

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 17 Feb 2015 21:55

I've got the radio on .....................

but I'll be turning it off soon.................

it's Budget Day in the province. The Finance Minister is droning on, and the reporters are being talking "heads"

I don't think there is going to be anything exciting ........................ higher Medical premiums seem to be forecast :-(

the Federal Budget Day has been delayed from march until "at least" April .............. Election Day has to be before October, and the Feds are hoping to be able to give an "Election Budget", which the huge drop in oil prices and other things have made very difficult at the moment.

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 17 Feb 2015 21:51

Tec ..............

your little visitors sound delightful :-)

are they identical triplets???

To have 3 identical is very rare ..... so they would be even more special

the almost 5 year old I know finds it very hard to sit still for 5 minutes ................ and is hardly ever quiet :-)

Hopefully he will be visiting with his mother towards the end of May

Sue ........... that will be a great trip, and lets the cousins be together for once :-)

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 17 Feb 2015 21:48

Tie two together, and get a leg in each :-D problem solved

There are only baby swings in this playground I think I would get stuck in one of those

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 17 Feb 2015 21:45

That's not bad Sue, not time for the children to become bored really. :-)

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 17 Feb 2015 21:43

That's not fair Linda :-(

The flight is 1 hour and 40 minutes, Tec - not long. The children are seasoned travellers :-D
