Next year it will be the country's 150th birthday

We stay home ................ don't like fighting big crowds :-)

My mothers uncle Verdi Wood has his name on the memorial, but he lasted until the 12th of October

I went to York today for a spot of retail therapy while OH was out walking, it was very humid, so I was glad to get back. I did buy a dress and a swimming costume, so it wasn't a waste of a day.

Eve's year group were taken for a trip to the seaside today, they went to the south coast. I sent a message to my daughter to ask how the trip had gone. The reply came back "To tell grandma that it was epic "

Eve was prancing about in her new dress on the video link first thing this morning, she was very pleased with it, she should be given the cost!

You will look just the thing Sylvia. It has a stretchy crocheted top made of horizontal rainbow colours with thin straps. The skirt is layers of vertical net stips of rainbow coloured nets all piled on top of each other to form a full length flouncy ball room skirt. The strips are decorated with Rhinestones. There is a lot of work in it and it is a little girls dream and seemingly an older ladies dream :-D

I didn't think of the seeds thing until later ..... my first thought was I didn't have time to do the 24 hour prepartion that OH has just been through, and that I didn't have time to do that. Yes, it was very strange!!

I thought you werent going because your OH couldn't drive you for 24 hours. It is silly to offer if at such short notice if you need a week to prepare

I have a fasting blood test in the morning,so I cant have any food or coffee and of course that is making me feel hungry

well, we have appointments tomorrow that have taken us some time to arrange ............ and I've eaten berries and nuts, red coloured juices, etc. All things that you are supposed to stop eating 1 week before. So I'm not sure why she offered it to me.

What a shame you couldn't have your tests done tomorrow Sylvia. In a way it would have been better as they would have been over and done with

I use an electric tooth brush at home, but an ordinary one when we are away. We have been away for almost a month recently and I can tell that my teeth were not as clean

It has been raining for its of the afternoon, that is because Wimbledon has started.

Eve will be six tomorrow , they are going to Skype in the morning, so we can see her open her present. She is very into rainbows at the moment, so most of her presents revolve around this theme. I have had a rainbow dressing up dress made. It has rhinestones in different coloured bands on the bodice and a full net skirt made from rainbow colours. It looks very swish, so I am sure she will like it as she is always dressing up in the Princess dress we got her last year

got home ca 90 minutes ago. All OK, pending a pathology report. He has to make contact again in 2 years. No driving for 24 hours.

I took off my responsible hat, and he's gone out for a walk.


THEN phone rang about 30 minutes ago ......

.... "I see you need to have an endoscopy and now a colonoscopy done. You can have it done tomorrow" .......

....... TOMORROW eek

Can't do it ............. so I go for them both on July 11, fortunately an afternoon appointment so I don't have to do the 3 am wake-up OH had to do this morning!

It's out at the university hospital .... which is a lovely place.




It's a lovely day today ...... sunny, blue skies and low 20s, going to get up to around 26C
