I expect the lady in the red dressing gown was very pleased to see you.

Must be awful not to have anyone to take you home.

Here the Ambulance Service will do it.

Volunteer drivers are used for hospital appointments very often.

Hi Tec and Linda

Linda ........... do you have to be the "responsible person" then????

You cannot be discharged from hospital here except into the care of a "responsible person" ................... I wonder if the volunteer drivers we have act in that capacity????

I know a taxi driver doesn't count :-D

it's grey here ....... and has just started raining ...... just in time for us to go out for coffee!

Not really. We walked into town for lunch, OH went to the cinema to see A Testament to Youth. I didn't go because I didn't want to walk in again, plus I have read the book.

Then I got a call to do a hospital drive. Sometimes people are discharged, but have no way to get home,so from 4pm to 8pm there is a scheme where they can call upon the volunteer drivers to take them home. I collected a lady in a red dressing gown

We have neighbours whose relatives arrive in a helicopter :-0

Across the Bay from us there was a military aircraft research station. They flew pilotless aircraft right over us - some were as big as the old Comet.

It closed down about ten years ago, but is to become operational again this year.

Apparently, they are going to experiment with drones.

Also on a UK shortlist as a space craft launch station.

I think you should have someone to paint Sylvia. With the rollers on long poles, it takes them no time at all

We aren't under any flight paths here, but we do have a small grass strip airfield nearby. We have a crazy stunt performer who buzzes about. We also have an RAF training station nearby, so they fly over from time to time. We also have the jockeys landing in helicopters on the racecourse
