Yes - I have an unopened box of Thorntons.
A box of hand made Belgian chocolates that came with my Fortnum & Masons hamper.
2 bars of dark chocolate that I don't like, so won't eat.

oh, and a strip of chocolate covered marzipan speciality chocolates from Tuesday's

anyone for a chocolate? :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 27 Feb 2015 20:58

Solitaire?

Working on your tree without disturbance,?

Spring cleaning the whole house,?

Pick up a stack of travel brochures - box of chocolates, bottle of red, all weekend on the sofa indulging yourself?

Digging the allotment?

So many things you could do :-D

LindainHerriotCountry Report 27 Feb 2015 20:45

I have the weekend to myself, but don't have the car so that is not much good

Those concrete posts are ridiculously heavy, and difficult to handle. Although they will not rot, like wooden ones do in time.
They've had good weather for the job.

No I didn't get the Duchess any food. They fetched a very nice looking piece of fruit cake and a cup of tea for her during the afternoon.
Then as I was leaving a sandwich, and another cup of tea.
So - the starvation diet must have ended :-)

She was dressed, but complained that the top she had on wasn't hers. It was, but she insisted on changing it for something else I found in the wardrobe.

Such fun.............Glad I went though - now I have the weekend free.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 27 Feb 2015 20:27

Oh dear Tec, I hope you got some food for the Duchess. Was she dressed today?

I have just spoken to OH, they have built most of the fence, he just needs to make a gate tomorrow. He said that he was never going to use concrete posts again because they were too heavy

I have just used my new bread maker and it worked well. I managed to pour half a bowl of water over myself when I was washing up so I have had to get changed

It was a lovely day here too.

You are stretching yourself too far, what with everything. Time to stepback, and rationalise. Something has to go. Not nagging - just saying.

I went to see the Duchess, as the weather forecast is not good for the weekend.
She was in a bad mood when I got there.
She claimed to have had nothing to eat for days, and was starving. In which case, being diabetic, she would be dead. :-(
Anyway, she needs a haircut so before I left I arranged for that to be done and paid, also her toenails need cutting, so I asked them to make an appointment to see whoever does feet at the Health Centre across the road.
She was in a better mood by the time I left.

Good afternoon.

It has been a nice day here. I had Meals on Wheels to do. There are far too many people on the round now, so it is taking too long. The problem is a new McCarthy and Stone sheltered apartment complex. It is good that so many people in there are joining the scheme, but it means people are having to wait too long.

To solve the problem they are going to split the round in half, but that means we will have to do it twice a month instead of just once. That is fine, but it makes it more difficult to arrange going away

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 26 Feb 2015 22:54

Phew, she didn't notice :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 26 Feb 2015 22:53

It's OK Tec, Sue can't tell the difference between diamonds and paste, so you don't need to spend much

Thank you for the coffee,

Goodnight Linda, sleep well.

I shall be off as well,

Enjoy your day Sue - hope the weather picks up. I am hoping to meet Brenda maybe in the summer.

Goodnight,
Tec :-)
