You know how to live the high life :-D

Tecwyn Report 27 Feb 2015 22:47

Not worth walking around in the cold and wet Linda, wishing you weren't.
Going to be very windy too - so I definitely can't go out.

I might strip wallpaper, or sand down paintwork

how madly exciting :-D

I considered going to York on the bus tomorrow, but I can't be bothered

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Feb 2015 22:39

That's why I went out today Linda - I shall hide in my little cave all week :-D

Yes, I also like "gadding about"

oh those were the days :-D

Yuk, I just watched the weather forecast and next week the whole country turns blue

I hope to gad about some more this year. Last year I trapped in hospital for nearly three months, then trapped in here because I couldn't get out, and had no driving licence.
My car is two years old and has 2,500 miles on the clock :-D

Amanda, my family didn't really expect me to attend the funeral. They realised the problems.
It's actually the Duchess's nephew who is getting married nr Wrexham, and my daughter and SIL are also going - should be a nice occasion.

That's a most excellent word Linda :-)

It is sad that you couldn't attend your Aunts funeral Tec but as you say it isn't always practical and I'm sure your family understood your absence .

A wedding in April sounds delightful :-D

You are gadding about these days Tec

Tecwyn Report 27 Feb 2015 22:26

Well at least you did get to spend some time with your brother, even if it was a sad occasion.

My last elderly aunt died recently. She lived in Ilford which isn't too far away from Enfield.
I wanted to attend her funeral, but it just wasn't practical now, sadly.

As you say, as we get older, the only time we seem to gather as a family is at funerals. Though I am going to a nephews wedding in April.

Thank you Sue :-) I'm sure they will soon bounce back and be ready for what ever is the next episode ......lol

Hello Tec ,

At least we don't have the grumpy old lady character from Giles ( unless one counts OHs mother but she is very much in the background as he hasn't spoken to her for years now :-0 ) .

Enfield is quite a way away , the bonus was getting to be with my brother for a day , I can't remember the last time we spent so long in each others company ( he drove us there and back ) , OH stayed here to " hold the fort " .

I'm exhausted just reading about your week, Amanda. I hope things settle before long and the sick become well.

Amanda2003 Report 27 Feb 2015 22:17

I don't know how I cope either Linda , I am sometimes seen wildly spinning on the spot :-0

The twins are doing very well , thank you . Both putting on weight at a goodly rate . Megan kept them well out of the way whilst her big sister and sickly niece where in the house , so fingers crossed they won't get any nasties that are flying around !

Gosh Amanda - you have had a busy and varied week.

I hope that your daughter has recovered from her dentist trauma, and that little Daisy will be well again soon.

Sad that your elderly aunt has died. It's a long way to Enfield from where you live.

I like Giles cartons, but wouldn't care to live in one :-D

I admire your courage, and stamina :-D

Goodness Amanda, I really don't know how you cope

How are the twins?

Amanda2003 Report 27 Feb 2015 22:08

Hello people :-)

I've been having something of a busy time just lately .

Wednesday was mostly taken up with eldest daughter , she had to be sedated at the hospital to have the roots of a tooth removed ( her last visit to the dentist back in November ? had resulted in the tooth snapping , leaving the roots in her gum ) . We knew she would be having to stay the night here , as she was to be observed for 24 hrs just in case but we hadn't counted on Daisy needing to be looked after as well as Addison . Poor Daisy has the worst sore throat ever and was being sick ! We muddled through somehow .
Wednesday night was my second " secretary meeting " , which I had to attend as it was all about " who hasn't paid up yet " . It didn't go to badly ( considering the first one I attended was something of a fiasco ) .
We gave our bed over to daughter and her two children as it seemed the obvious solution to the sleeping arrangements for the night .
Early Thursday morning I had to be up and off to a funeral in Enfield :-( my elderly Auntie passed away on Feb 8th , she hadn't been well for sometime and it wasn't unexpected but still sad none the less .
It was good to catch up with some of my cousins , just sad that we only seem to meet for sad occasions these days .
Today was spent trying to catch up on the fact I wasn't here yesterday :-S
Daughter had managed to get Daisy to the DRs ( even though she is also feeling ill now ) and the shout went up a couple of hours ago that they are at the hospital because Daisy has had an allergic reaction to the penicillin she was prescribed earlier today :-0 nothing to serious , she came out in a itchy rash .
Tomorrow , is yet another birthday party at Nanny house ( Alice will be being 3 years old ) , it doesn't look likely that it will be a full house though , what with eldest daughter being out of action .
I live in a " Giles " cartoon :-)

Trouble is, if you're in a mess, you can't find anything :-D

I'm always losing my tools, because I don't put them away properly :-(
