I've been watching something called "Indian Summers" on Channel 4.
It's so slow and boring. Got Julie Walters in it too.

Yes, but as I had to make it myself, it wasn't the same :-(

Thank you :-)

Did you ever get your bacon butty?

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 1 Mar 2015 21:57

Of course there is one for you and Sue

Tecwyn Report 1 Mar 2015 21:56

Well OH deserves to be relieved of coffee duty if he's having to put the bins out :-D

Should there be one for me it will be greatly appreciated :-D

Reminds me, I need to put my food waste bin out tonight.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 1 Mar 2015 21:52

oh well, so long as you take some time out for yourself as well.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 1 Mar 2015 21:50

Tec, you will be pleased to hear that I have made the coffee.

Only because OH was busy putting the bin out for tomorrow

Nothing exciting Tec. I'm going to shampoo the large rug we have in the living room. Best time to do it when I have an empty house. I also have to do some grocery shopping.

No housework allowed Sue :-D

Tecwyn Report 1 Mar 2015 21:41

I think it's a little boy thing -playing with water :-D but then I never really grew up.

So what are you going to do with your day of peace?

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 1 Mar 2015 21:39

Of course you do Tec - it's a man thing :-D

I have the house to myself today :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 1 Mar 2015 21:33

It does make a huge difference Sue - brightens everything up after the winter leaves the stones green with algae, especially in the areas that get no sun on them.

I also like doing it :-D

OH pressure sprayed the driveway last week. What a difference it makes. Under the pergola needs to be done as it gets dirty after a lot of rain. OH likes doing that job :-D

Tecwyn Report 1 Mar 2015 21:19

It's a shame that you had to move the daffs, and it may take a year for them to recover being moved.
Next weekend looks good weatherwise, so I may get the pressure hose out to clean all the slabs after the winter grime.

We dont have many daffodils in the garden. OH planted lots in front of the hedge on the grass verge, but as soon as they flowered the locals kicked the heads off them. In the end he dug them all up and he has planted them in the garden. They may not do as well this year as they have been moved

Tecwyn Report 1 Mar 2015 21:09

They say it has been the sunniest winter since 1929, but that is not reflected in our gardens.

I think a lot of my daffodils will be blind this year. Lots of leaves, but not much sign of buds so far.

OH's brother says he is seeing little signs of Spring but nothing flowering. He has a lovely garden.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 1 Mar 2015 21:04

It is the first day of spring, not that you would know it

Only the snowdrops are flowering here. I saw a few crocuses in a grass verge just opening, but all the rest of the bulbs in my garden are just pushing their leaves up at the moment, it will be a while before they flower

Thank you Sue - I have enjoyed my St. David's Day. Wearing my daffodil, and a big leek of course :-D

Lucky to get the lawn mowed and the mower put away before the storm arrived.

Hope you son enjoys the new term at Uni - my grand daughter is doing exams at the moment. She got a very good result for her last one.

Hello everyone :-). Happy St. David's Day Tec :-)

We had a lovely sunny morning yesterday (Sunday) u til just fter lunch when the clouds rolled back in and we had a massive thunderstorm. OH had just mowed the lawn and put the mower in the shed when it started. We even had some hail :-0. The rain lasted the rest of the day. It's sunny now and quite cool.

Our son starts back at Uni today - he's champing at the bit.

I'm pleased that your OH arrived home safely, Linda. I can imagine he is tired and glad to be home.

Sylvia - your Spring flowering will be over before Spring :-0

It is now officially Autumn here. Summer is over :-(
