What do you think we live in :-0 Our shack has a decent toilet in the backyard. The shower is only uncomfortable in winter when it's cold. A cold shower is refreshing in summer. Boiling a kettle over a campfire is fun :-D

Linda - they have houses now in Australia - nicer ones than ours generally.

Things have moved on since Captain Cook you know :-D

It is just because we know you Aussies love going bush, you aren't used to mod cons

Why do I have to have the tent :-0 That doesn't seem fair :-\ Even when we stayed at this lovely house in Shropshire we were only allowed in to use the bathroom :-(

I have just looked at the rooms, they are mad. I think that room is accessed from outside sylvia, not just its bathroom

The rooms are in a building opposite the pub. they also own a really nice pub at the other end of the village, that isn't as expensive, but is still posh. we have eaten there a couple of times.

The people who own them also run a very upmarket deli in Helmsley

I found the rooms at The Star very interesting


one had the bath at the foot of the bed :-S

One had a snooker table in the room, another had a piano


Another ground floor room had the description written in such a way that it sounded as if you had to go out into the courtyard to access the door into the bathroom :-S :-S
