I have just returned to the fold after being 1) without my laptop for several weeks and it is a beggar going on his so have only done odd FB entries and 2) I have been ill and spent last Wed and Thurs night in Waikato Hospital.

Thought I would not even try and read all the pages since I was last here.. my concentration span has been hopeless, did not read a book for over three weeks and had difficulty with the cryptic crosswords which are usually a doddle.

And to be greeted with this page saying our Tec is back in hospital and that Eve is not well and neither is Esme...

Hope Eve is back to her normal self and lovingly annoying you Linda.. and hope for an improvement in Esme ..

Get well soon Tec.. we need you back on here.

Welcome home Sue. I am glad you had a nice time

Eve is sleeping with me again tonight, so I can't post for long. She is on the mend,but still not good enough to go to school

I haven't heard from Tec, I hope he has a mobile signal, if not I will email his daughter for news

Oh no - I've been looking in to see how things were. We are home now so can keep up to date.

I spoke too soon, Tec has gone into hospital, hopefully just for a few days. He was waiting for the ambulance but didn't know where they were taking him. He is going to text me when he lands and finds out where he is. I will be in touch via text, so will keep everyone informed as I hear things

I don't think Eve will be going to school tomorrow. I had to give her some Calpol mid morning and as it took effect, she got off the couch and we have been playing. She crashed again mid afternoon once it had worn off and just wanted to lay on the couch again. I have had to give her more Calpol and she is perking up again

It is a nice sunny day here as well, but it was still chilly when I went out into the garden

Glad that you got a better nights sleep, even if Eve's poor mum didn't.

Good news that Eve is feeling better today, hope that she is well enough to go to school tomorrow. I expect she misses her little friends.

It is a glorious Spring day here, wall to wall sunshine.

The gas fitter is here servicing the boiler.

God morning, I did get a good nights sleep which is more than could be said for Eves mummy. Every time she sat up to see to Esme in her cot, Eve moved even closer to her, so she ended up with no room to sleep in. In the middle of the night Eve told her that she loved her so much that she wanted to sleep right next to her. Poor mummy looks shattered this morning.

Eve is a lot better, she came down to play with me at 6.30 :-( She still isn't well enough to go to school though, that will probably be tomorrow.

I will look in for any news Tec

I am going to make a sandwich as I am hungry now, I've had no dinner.

Happy birthday to your grandson Sylvia, having the party out of the house is such a good idea.

Esme is asleep, but Eve is still awake. That is hardly surprising as she has been asleep for most of the day.

She said she didn't want to go in her own bed, she wants to sleep down here with Hanma again. That means I can't watch TV, so she had the offer of going in mummies bed. she jumped at that of course. She is up there now, with Esme, but daddy is with them. She told me that she could come in my bed as soon as she wakes up in the morning, that is fair enough, at least I get to sleep tonight.

Poor little thing is poorly, Esme isn't very well either.

it's my grandson's 5th birthday today ............. but they had the party on Saturday


Mum and Dad rented a room in the canoe club clubhouse (which is less than 5 minutes walk away from their house), so no messing of the house.


Little one's honorary aunt (who will "inherit" him if anything happens to his parents) made his birthday cake .........................
