It's true you know.

I spent many holidays with my Welsh grand mother, I remember every one, though she was strict and my siblings all afraid of her - I wasn't and she knew it :-D

Happy days indeed - so they will remember.

We were saying that on the way home Tec. Hopefully that is how we will be remembered when we are no longer here.

As the children grow up and go about their lives they will hold fond memories of those holidays Sue :-)

The children loved every minute Tec. It was wonderful to see them all together :-D

Hello Sue,
.
Looks like you all had a great time in Hobart - I've seen some photo's on FB.
Expect the children will be talking about it for ages :-D

Wooohooo!!! Tec is home :-D

You must both be exhausted from your ordeals. A good night's sleep will work wonders <3

Tecwyn Report 11 Mar 2015 20:56

Hopefully you will get a decent nights sleep with Eve back in her own room.
Wake up all refreshed for the journey home - you could always sleep on the train, so long as you don't miss your station :-)

I am looking forward to sleeping, as I was awake about four times in the night. Nothing in comparison to your trauma of course, but bad enough

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 11 Mar 2015 20:44

There is no point in going to bed too early, even though I am very tired. I won't sleep, and know I would lay there for hours.

I will go earlier than I normally do though.

Oh hello Tec, I didn't think you would be looking in after your dreadful night

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 11 Mar 2015 20:35

Hello,

I am back, what is left of me. No sleep for 48 hours :-0
Nothing to eat for 18 hours except a slice of toast at 8am this morning.

A very uncomfortable night on a heart monitor, and three drips.
One in each arm and one in the back of my hand.
Blood tests every three hours throughout the night.

Now I am black and blue and purple, with no blood left, just full of holes.

This was all due to my potassium reaching dangerous levels.

Anyway, this morning it was decided that the drips had worked, and the status quo had been restored.
There was nothing more they could do for me, so said I could go home with a box of medication.

As I was expecting to be in there for days, was delighted to be allowed home - whoopee!

I don't need another night like that.

Good evening. I am going home tomorrow as Eve is .back at school. I booked a ticket which was half the standard price so as it was only eight pounds for a first class upgrade, I thought why not :-D

She is back in her own room tonight thank goodness, so I will get more sleep. Her little sleepovers with me have shown that she is quite happy for me to see to her in the night which is a good thing. She seem s to have quite a few bad dreams when she is shouting "no, no", goodness knows what that is about

I expect that you have turned in very early tonight Tec, I hope you catch up on your sleep

Linda .............

I am so glad to hear that Eve is better, but sorry to hear that she hurt her arm ............

that shows she is ready for school tomorrow :-)

My OH does most of the cooking here ............... sometimes with me sitting on a kitchen stool giving instructions!

But he's very good ...... he has been doing it for quite a few years. Even 30 or 40 years ago, he more often than not cooked dinner when we had guests. I usually made the desserts then.

I stick to throwing together casserole type meals if I have to cook .......

...... make a big casserole, freeze in individual portions. Repeat with another kind the next day. Repeat on another day ..........

then have a range of home-made frozen meals to hand :-D

LindainHerriotCountry Report 11 Mar 2015 10:40

She is too chirpy, she was just climbing where she shouldn't be, fell off and hurt her arm. She is now cuddled up on the sofa, looking sorry for herself, but watching TV as compensation, hence I have thirty seconds to myself

I have been trying to widen OH's cooking repertoire, he has a couple of signature dishes he does well, but I am tired of them

Persephone

Persephone Report 11 Mar 2015 08:33

I am a lot better thank you Linda, though tire easily. I didn't cook a meal for over three weeks, he was cooking himself some strange concoctions, then I think he remembered he was pretty good at cooking fish so was going off and buying fish for a few days in a row... I couldn't even handle the smell of food.

Glad to hear Eve is back to her chirpy self..

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 11 Mar 2015 08:29

Oh dear Persie, I hope you feel better soon

Esme is fine and Eve seems very chirpy this morning, she still woke up at least four times in the night though. She declared th at she was hungry and has demolished two weetabix which U.S. A good sign as she has eaten practically nothing for days.

She is in full play mode now, so probably could have gone to school, but it is too late now. She needs her hair washed before she goes anywhere. I foresee a hectic play day for me
