Goodnight Tec, I hope you sleep for as long tonight.

Sorry I haven't been paying much attention, I have been delving in the parish records, but the ones I want are all in the records office, not on line

I am off to bed as well

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 12 Mar 2015 22:53

my ancestors are all very boring :-(

ag labs and lace makers

There is a story that one of OH's ancestors took a cow to Kendal Market to sell it ........... then was murdered on the way home, presumably for the money

but I can't find anything resembling that!!

I did subscribe to the British newspaper site for a short time when it first came out ................... but couldn't find mention.

Mind you, it might help if I had a time scale :-)

Enjoy your day Sue, Persie, and Sylvia.

Goodnight,

Persie - that's a brilliant idea, I might try it. Don't know what Archie might think under there though :-D

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 12 Mar 2015 22:45

Persie , when it comes to names I've got a couple of " grand " ones , two of my Nans brothers where Horation Nelson and Octavious Horton , gawd knows what my Gt Grandfather was thinking , I suspect he had visions of grandeur .....lol

Tec , I applaud her as well , she was already on site when I arrived at 10 am , I went home after almost four hours ( 2pm ) at 5pm I nipped back up with OH to dump some compost and she was STILL there , mind you , she looked done it , bless her . :-0

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 12 Mar 2015 22:44

I would have liked to have had some eccentric ancestors - my maternal grandfather came close - he turned his back on family tradition, and mixed in some very odd circles :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 12 Mar 2015 22:43

My daughter and SIL insist that Sunday is a family day. Their week is so busy and often SIL has to work on Saturday mornings but won't work on Sunday unless it's an absolute emergency which has only happened once.

I love working in the garden - it is therapy for me I'm sure. Our daughter has caught the bug and agrees that after a busy day working in the garden is so relaxing.

Tec I think you should get a denim skirt and you could let your shirts hang out, over the top... You could probably fit a wheelbarrow or two under your skirt.
