It was not the ladder to the top of my page.. what I think is I am on this page automatically no matter how long I am away from the site or my lappie has gone off to be fixed it is still there..

So might try closing it and coming in with a fresh start .. though I will still use za.

Andrew Mehrtens was and still is our number one goal kicker, he had a bit of a bad run and the crowd started booing him when he went to convert a few penalties.. Then he converted a goal after much booing and he ran around the field giving the crowd the rude gesture with his fingers... he got told off etc but who could blame him.. I enjoyed that match.

England isn't doing well at all :-(. The Sri Lankan team arrived in Tassie while we were there.

Yes the decorations have gone. I made a right fool of myself climbing the ladder for nothing :-|

I still have a cotton wool snowman on my sideboard that one of my little fan club made for me at Christmas.
They came over on a brief visit, and handed it to me.

We have been through humiliating cricket. NewZealanders are poor losers which really annoys me. Joe public will take to attacking someone who has done well for yonks when he doesn't perform well.... Kirwan copped it, Grant Fox copped it and so have a lot of cricketers.

Our Christmas decorations are. Long gone

I suppose a lot of people would support Afghanistan, if only for the fact that they can raise a cricket team, given everything that has happened in that country.

I would normally support the English team in any competition, unless of course they are playing Wales, then my loyalties have to be with my homeland.

I really feel that the English cricket team should cancel all further tours until such time as they can get a competent team together.
It's just humiliating at the moment :-(

That's a good enough reason Lady Persephone. I'll get right onto that :-)

Cause it is your thread.. have to have someone senior to handle things like that.. :-S

Sounds like my mother Persie. Came back from our honeymoon and she had tossed the little bits and pieces I had treasured from my childhood :-(

I'm glad you're feeling much better Persie and Tec.

A dull day today - good for gardening. We did quite a bit of tidying up in the garden yesterday.

I remember the same thing last time.. only I was really bad in hospital and had to have a tablet for nausea every time they shoved the antibiotics through the drip.

A lot of the people who live here are saying I would like Afghanistan to win, but as NZ has been good to me don't mind if they win.. We get that from a lot of countries.. not Oz.. though.

I threw out a cane chair, well actually I gave it to two women who were trying to shove a chest of drawers in their car. We had left the chest of drawers out on the berm for takers. I was always going to repaint the chair and reupholster the seat etc.. it was OH's Aunt's and is a bedroom chair. I used to have a seagrass chair when I was little, but like all the things that I treasured my mother gave away or chucked out.

Glad that you are feeling better Persie - whatever they pumped into me also made me feel nauseous, but it soon stopped.

I think England played Afghanistan yesterday, or the day before. I 've given up following it, it's just too embarrassing :-0

I am quite good thank you Tec, took my last antibiotic yesterday morning so that helps one to feel better.. they made one feel a trifle nauseous.

It is all cricket here at the moment. Seems quite strange to have a team from Afghanistan playing with what is going on over there but we do have a lot of their nation living here along with all the other nations that are playing.

We were coming back past all the motels in Hamilton about a week ago and I said to himself they have all got no vacancy on them what is going on.

I had not been keeping up with the play.. think there must have been cricket in Auckland yesterday because as we sped down to Cambridge there was a backlog of cars going north through Huntly's bypass.

Hello Persie :-)

OH found it. It's in a poor state but fixable. Quite old by the looks of it and cost me $3.

Linda I'm sorry you feel so ill. It was bound :-(

OH often cooks - I always enjoy having my dinner made for me :-)
