Persephone Report 15 Mar 2015 23:09

I am working on one of OH's lot and was getting very disgruntled with all those with the same name and no middle name getting married here in the 1860 - 1880 period and was all set to just leave her with her birth and then I saw someone's tree on ancestry with a husband. I then went searching and found out a lot about him, like her he also was from Ireland, and found the other two sisters husbands as well (the tree on ancestry does not have them) It really is a case of perseverance, now the two brothers which also have common names and no middle ones..grrr... So much easier when you have a middle name as well. Got the boat he arrived on, etc. so am well pleased got me to bed after midnight though.

Thank you Persie :-) You are very kind.

I see the Australian Air Force got a plane into Vanuatu today, loaded with aid.

It is OK Persie, I will have the ones you have already opened.

I need the fish to replenish my brain power. I am pleased with myself because I have just kicked down a huge brick wall at the top of the tree for one of the contacts I got from GR this week

I don't like sardines :-(. OH does.

Apparently a RAAF plane left Brisbane yesterday taking aid to Vanuatu. They are lovely people. The young men are expected to have a house before they can marry. I was thinking about that when I saw the news. So many homeless people with no money to rebuild :-(

Persephone Report 15 Mar 2015 22:53

No I won't I have a tin of sardines in tomato sauce. I also have them in ordinary oil whatever it is. I can open another can.

Persephone

Persephone Report 15 Mar 2015 22:52

I can do cream cheese with chives...

NZ usually sends over builders etc to help after these disastrous weather happenings. The Tongans collect all sorts of cast off timber to send to the islands, there is quite a pile sitting around the back of one of our rentals. That is all going to Tonga.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 15 Mar 2015 22:51

I just assumed they swam everywhere.

I prefer them in tomato sauce rather than oil, so you will have to pop out and buy some :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 15 Mar 2015 22:50

Persie, you can buy those covered buggies here, but they are very expensive.

Persephone

Persephone Report 15 Mar 2015 22:49

Well of course they are canned, can't get them here much otherwise.

They are in olive oil. Norwegian ones.. I only buy those...

I did try New Brunswick but prefer these.

My daughter always puts cheese on her sardines and grills them but she does not use parmesan. Some people put onions on the toast as well but that's not for me.

Tecwyn Report 15 Mar 2015 22:47

I'd like cream cheese with chives please Persie, I do have some of that in my fridge.

Sue, it is sad to see the damage to their homes in Vanuatu. I hope that they will get help to rebuild, and maybe better homes. Such lovely people.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 15 Mar 2015 22:46

I use lots of Parmesan, but have never put it on sardines, I think I will pass on that thank you

Are the sardines canned and if so, what are they in?

Persephone

Persephone Report 15 Mar 2015 22:45

Their mobility scooters are more like those covered golf carts.

Persephone

Persephone Report 15 Mar 2015 22:44

Would you like parmesan shavings on your sardines Linda? I will make it to go. ;-)

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 15 Mar 2015 22:43

Maybe that's it Linda, :-D

Perhaps they like the Florida Grande Prix in mobility scooters :-D

SueMaid Report 15 Mar 2015 22:43

I too feel bad for the people in Vanuatu. They are ill equipped to deal with such devastation.

Persephone

Persephone Report 15 Mar 2015 22:43

Cheese, do you want edam, smoked, one with chives in it, or havarti... I finished the camembert yesterday?
