The only essentials required are a handkerchief, a purse, lipstick, and in Sylvia's case, maybe a ladies revolver :-D

Poor Amanda, it must be hard for you.

I am sure there will be plenty of little children around to entertain, your other dog

Hello Amanda,

I do know how sad you are feeling. However inevitable the end is for our much loved pets, it hurts so much when it happens.
Remember the happy times with Milo, and now he has earned his rest. <3

Oh no, there isn't enough space for all the essentials in a clutch bag

Hello folks ,

Just popping in to say thank you for the commiserations regarding my dear old Milo . He had been in slow decline for several months but in the early hours of Monday morning he was sick and refused to eat again after that . When he tried to go outside to be clean , he was very unsteady on his legs and kept falling over and stumbling . OH had to carry him upstairs last night . I phoned the vets first thing this morning to arrange having him " put to sleep " . The vet said she thinks it may have been a brain tumour , judging by the falling etc .
We buried him at the end of the garden ( in a favourite spot , where he liked to lay and squash my plants ) . we bought a miniature rose " sweet dream " and have planted that on top of his spot . He is near to the cat that I lost a few months ago ( they where very good chums in life so it seemed correct that they should be close to each other in death ) .
Poor Bandit seems a bit lost , not sure how she will take being an only dog but at least she still has the two cats for company and there is usually someone in the house most of the time , I'm sure she will get used to life as it has to be now .

I'm not hanging about , feeling rather drained to be honest .

Thank you for the kind words x
