I rather like basketball, OH doesn't quite grasp that he must not fast forward through men's basketball.. and yes whilst the wheelchair games can be terrifying as you say they are also fascinating to watch.

I also think when watching RPA on TV and other programmes that surgeons are amazing as well.

Dear Berona and I used to do an imaginary tango - we were quite good at it :-D

Tecwyn Report 21 Mar 2015 21:49

I didn't see the cricket Persie, but heard all about it on radio, and Guptill - well done.

I have great confidence in the surgeon who dealt with me last year. Once I can get to him he will sort things out hopefully.

I've watched wheelchair basketball on tv - terrifying :-D

Sue is the only one without bad legs,so she can do the dancing

I can see the headlines now Tec, couple attempting to do the salsa were mowed down by a wheelchair with you shouting coming through....

I don't suppose you watch the cricket much Tec, Guptill is NZ's hero at the moment.. Very fickle these sports.

Glad to hear you and OH are on the mend and hope your knee will be okay Linda.

And I do hope they get to the bottom of your leg problem Tec and sort it out and don't allow it to linger.

No I wouldn't want to be responsible for killing anyone :-D

You can still do wheel chair dancing Tec

I think I could have lived on Madeira :-)

My dancing days are also over Sylvia. Loved dancing to a big live band.

I need to talk to a friend about it, she has been there several times and knows the hotels, only she isn't at home tonight

Linda ...............

I've always thought that Madeira would be a fun place to visit.

One of our friends was on a cruise that stopped there .............. he made a point of reading up on the wine, and found a little shop tucked away that sold the "best stuff".

Tec ............ the dance music was fun.

I can no longer dance, but those tunes from the 30s through into the 50s are so great to listen to.

It is also great fun to watch people dancing ................. the young opera students are allowed to join in after they have finished all their "sets", and they really get in the mood!

Glad that you are both getting better Linda.

Madeira is beautiful - a bit hilly in places, but very well worth a visit.

Hello Sylvia - It is rather disappointing. I was so looking forward to it, but never mind, some other time maybe.
Glad to see you enjoyed your night out - it sounded very good, especially the music :-D

Tec, I am so sorry to hear that your leg is worse, and that you have had to cancel your trip xxx

I am fine, OH is better today, he is still snuffly, but he is up today.

I am just trawling through holidays for the first two weeks in June. I hadn't booked anywhere until I knew what was happening to my knee. I cant get a room in our favourite place,so we are thinking of going somewhere else, Madeira maybe

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 21 Mar 2015 20:31

I will suggest that when they phone tomorrow - it would be a shame to waste the tickets.
I did say I am happy to pay for them, but they wouldn't have it :-(

How are you today? and how is OH?

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 21 Mar 2015 20:28

If they contact the rail company as soon as possible, it is often possible to change the tickets. It is worth trying to see what they can do

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 21 Mar 2015 20:17

Yes I spoke to my daughter today.

I feel worse now, because she said they wouldn't bother going to London either, as they were only going for me.
They can cancel the hotel booking 48 hrs before.
Although they have bought three return train tickets that will be wasted if they don't go.
I hope they decide to go themselves, then I won't feel so bad.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 21 Mar 2015 20:13

Oh goodness, that is not good, I thought you sounded tired last time I spoke to you
I hope that you have told your daughter what is happening

I watched all the matches while wading through a pile of paperwork that had piled up on me.

I wanted to visit the Duchess yesterday or today, but something has gone wrong with my leg and I can't use it.

The nurse reported it to the GP on Thursday, she has written to the surgeon for an urgent appointment in Shrewsbury.

Nurse came back today, and will ask the GP to make a house call on Monday.
I am in a lot of pain now, and haven't slept for three nights. Spent two nights in the armchair downstairs.
Needless to say, I won't be going to London at the weekend - oh well :-|
