I can understand Eve getting you to do Snow White four times, rehearsals are very important you have to get it right.. I think by the fourth time I may have started to giggle.
Who played all the dwarves? The other day we were in Te Awamutu at the council looking at plans of a house that we are waiting to come on the market in Cambridge. OH was going through them all on the computer and printing out the ones he wanted re plumbing, alterations etc.. I got bored and went to the children's play table. On the table were all these printouts of Snow White and six of the dwarves (Grumpy wasn't there).. and some crayons so I coloured one in beautifully. :-) :-)

Hi everyone
Linda ............. glad to hear that Esme is stable, and that mummy got some sleep.
I hope the improvement continues.
My thoughts are with you all.
Tec ............. earlier I read your posting on the Welsh thread that you had not got any sleep. Can you contact your GP out of hours instead of waiting until Monday???
it's raining hard again here .............. the grass is growing so well that our lawn mower man mowed the grass last week
Someone was cutting the little bit of grass outside the coffee shop yesterday .............. it smelled so wonderful :-)
They had another blizzard in Nova Scotia last night ............ I talked to the daughter today and she said it was worse than they expected, and driving the babysitter home was a bit hairy.
An Air Canada plane found it a bit hairy .................. had a "hard landing and exited the runway" at Halifax Airport some time around midnight. Only minor injuries fortunately.
take care everyone

We don't nag you Tec, we merely point you in the right direction.
Eve was good and slept all night, I think she woke up once, but she gave herself a drink of water from her bedside glass and went back to sleep again
She woke up at 7.15 which was actually 8.15 as the clocks had gone forward. We played all morning, acting out Snow White had to be done at least four times, we even had a real apple to bite.
I took her into town this afternoon as my daughter asked me to buy some things for Esme, Eve managed to choose a couple of dresses and a hair band for herself while we were buying Esmes baby grows.
We then went to a shop where she chose a very nice necklace for her mummy under grandmas direction of course. We also bought a birthday cake, Her mummy came home this evening as daddy is doing the night shift tonight, so Eve was able to have a mini party for her mummy

Morning Linda,
Hope Esme has improved and Eve is up and ready for the day.
Tec, I hope you got some sleep during the night.. and if you are dozing off right now you stay asleep as I would not want to wake you...
and washing got dry despite a little shower during part of the day.. It has just teemed down again but that's okay I would rather it did that at night time.

hi everyone
I've probably missed you all by now :-(
yuk, yuk and double yuk!
OH did the grocery shopping last night, he bought a package of hot cross buns
a box of 12 ................ on a great special of 2 boxes for $5.
Thank heavens he only bought 1 box for $2.50 ................. or just under £1
we froze 6 last night, but he wrapped them, and I just slipped them in bags, didn't pay much attention
had one of the others just now ...............................
they're ...................................... chocolate chip hot cross buns
yuk yuk and double yuk!
they did have regular hot cross buns, but he didn't know there was a different kind, so didn't read the label carefully

Hope the sun shines to dry the washing Persie.
We put the clocks forward tonight, so lose an hours sleep. Not that that makes much difference to me. :-( Tomorrow the light evenings begin.
Sue I hope the sun shines for you too.
My visitors have gone to bed. So I will prepare to settle down for the night,
Goodnight, Tec
:-)

I just hope you stay okay until the 11th.
I must go, the sun has come out and it was teeming with rain earlier.. so two loads of washing to do. Weather has been a bit up and down the last couple of days.
It is probably past your bedtime Tec, if you do indeed have a bedtime.
Happy pottering about Sue..

I must say that I'm lucky with the surgeon who is doing the op on the 11th April, he is the same man that amputated my leg last year. He is very approachable, and friendly. Explaining everything, and why he has decided to do what he has to do. I am confident that he will do his best for me, whatever happens.

They have to be more forthcoming here and explain everything to you, looks like it is the same in Australia going by the programs I watch.
I did laugh though, one doctor came in full of importance and grabbed by notes from the slot behind the door, said hello and I said hi but no he walked past me and talked to the patient next to me. She said nothing to him. I said to her afterwards did you know what he was talking about and she said no.. well not surprising really. :-S

Hello Persie,
No we don't have meals on wheels here. Too rural I suppose. I do buy some ready meals that just need heating up. I have my groceries delivered now, which makes life easier. I don't always feel like cooking from scratch, but don't like too many ready meals either.
I ask questions in hospital. Hate when the doctors do their ward rounds and stand at the end of the bed whispering and muttering to each other. After all, it's me they're talking about. Sometimes they look at me as if I have no right to know :-D

Hello Persie :-)
Winding down for winter is always a bit sad but you have to go with the seasons and enjoy what each season brings.
Couldn't bear to be without some kind of garden, Persie.

I am looking forward to spending time in the garden this year. I expect it will be a while after the op before I can do much, but fortunately there isn't much more can be done out there at the moment, so it's ok to be left for a bit.
Just don't want it becoming like a jungle as it did last year.
Sounds like you both did very well yesterday in your garden, tidying up before winter arrives is a good idea.

I don't think I would want to sit in a chair for that long either Tec.
We have hospital volunteers who go around the triage wards, where you might only be there for a short while or could take ages. They have a handful of magazines and will get you tea or coffee and if you have a partner with you show that person where to make tea etc. When I am on a ward I always go and find out where the fridge, so I can top up my water with ice etc.. Though some when they see your water jug is low will bring you a fresh one.
I am dead nosey when it comes to finding everything and I also read my hospital notes. I said to the nurse (bloke) in triage when he had my notes and was looking through them.. can I see them please and yep there you go. Don't always know what I am reading of course but try and look knowledgeable.
Do you have meals on wheels etc where you are Tec? I don't want you to start doing what my father did.. he would just have tea and toast whenever he was hungry. He was only eating a meal when I was there to cook it, so got in the meals on wheels brigade.
