I hope that all is well with everyone this evening .

I am hoping that both Esme and Tec have had better days today .

Sue , sorry I didn't reply last night , I must have become distracted and not returned to say goodnight , shame on me :-(

The babies are all okay . Poppy-Rose is full of fat smiles .
I've just finished the first proper baby sitting of the twins , Meg went out for a meal with her boyfriend and his family . Good job my OH was up for Grand-dad duties , as I was getting rather stressed with trying to juggle two screamers :-0 They have both perfected the skill of going poker straight and making the most horrendious squealing cries . They calmed down when we took the " divide and conquer " approach .Thankfully Mummy and Daddy where only gone for two hours ......phew .

The wind had died down , at last ! The past two days have been pretty awful :-|

Hello Amanda :-) I was just reading about the winds causing damage. I hope you've tied your house down :-D How are the babies? Your photos show them coming along nicely.

Good night Linda , I hope you manage to get a reasonable sleep , you must be " all in " :(

Hello Sue and Tec .

Tec , I am sorry to hear that the Duchess is in hospital but good news that she appears to be improving . How stupid that the hospital staff wouldn't let you have news of her condition :-0
I hope you haven't been in to much pain today , it is good to know you are being well looked after by your daughter .

The wind here today has been wild and the forecast doesn't look any better for the nest 12 hours at least . A few polytunnels are in shreds on the allotments , I think a lot of folks will be playing " hunt the compost bin " over the next few days ....lol

Goodnight Linda - you must be exhausted <3

Hello Tec :-). Thank goodness someone is able to see the Duchess and let you know what's happening.

OH hates doing it, but the door has been hanging about in the passageway for months Eves daddy is useless at DIY

I will say goodnight now

Tecwyn Report 31 Mar 2015 21:56

That was very sweet of Eve to try to reassure her little sister.

I've had to hang very heavy doors here - it's a devil of a job on your own.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 31 Mar 2015 21:50

Sorry I got confused, I am very tired, so we are going to bed early

Poor OH spent most of the day hanging a very heavy door on the kitchen for them Personally I think the old one was better

We may take Eve in to see Esme tomorrow. She asked to go and usually she has to go to hospital appointments as they have no one to leave her with

She was very good on Saturday before we got here to look after her as it was boring a the hospital Apparently she watched them put the cannula in, Esme wasnt very happy about that, so Eve went up to her and said, "Don't worry Esme your big sister is here", which I thought was very sweet

I can see you playing the part of the Fairy Godmother in the morning Linda :-D

Hopefully, not the wicked stepmother :-D

It was SIL who visited the Duchess today. He was quite pleased by what he found. Her sister may visit tomorrow.

SIL is returning here on Friday, so daughter will visit her mother then, or Saturday, leaving SIL in charge of me :-D
That'll be fun.

Evening bulletin sent out

Cinderella was odd to say it was a U film. the first parts really concentrated on the death of her mother, then father. I don't know how much of that Eve understood. She liked the fairy godmother and ball of course

We have already played Cinderella since we got home. She is asleep now,so all is quiet in the house

Tec, I am glad that your daughter got to visit the Duchess and that she seems a bit better, it is good that her sister will be able to visit as well

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 31 Mar 2015 15:40

I hope the news of Esme is better today. <3

Did you both enjoy Cinderella ?
Expect that you will be playing Prince Charming in the morning, and Eve struggling to get the glass slipper on :-D

SIL visited the Duchess today. She was fine. They have moved her to a medical ward, and she is to have an ultra sound on her heart to see if that's the trouble.
SIL said her legs were not as swollen as they were at the weekend, and a better colour.
She appears to have all she needs in the bag the home packed for her.
Her sister who has just come in from Hong Kong will visit tomorrow.

I did get some sleep last night. Dosed myself up with morphine and liquid Oramorph.
Got to sleep at around 2am, and woke up at 8am, so that was quite good.
The nurse is calling later today to dress the ulcer, that is still very painful.

My daughter is really looking after me, and I don't know how I would manage without her. It can't be easy for her, given that I am such a cantankerous old goat :-D

LindainHerriotCountry Report 31 Mar 2015 07:21

Good morning, I am just looking in while I can, Eve is still asleep, but that won't last for long

I hope you managed to sleep Tec

If she is on a drip and it is electronically controlled she won't be able to go far, only as far as the electrical cord will allow.

It is a lovely edge of the known world though Linda.

I had trouble spelling periodontist Tec and GR's spelling guru does not recognise it so even when I got it right I thought it was incorrect.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 30 Mar 2015 22:12

Maybe they will give her something to make her sleep.

Well I have to go now. I am in quite a bit of pain tonight,, and it's difficult to concentrate really.

Sleep well Linda, hope there is good news of Esme tomorrow,

Enjoy your day Persie, and Sylvia,

Goodnight Tec :-)

I am off to bed, looking forward to playing first thing tomorrow

Goodnight everyone

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 30 Mar 2015 22:07

I am. Sure they will be used to it. They will provably put the bed sides up to stop her getting out. If her legs are b ad, she may not want to. Anyway you will have news tomorrow

It will be a long journey for your daughter, that is another disadvantage of living on the edge of the known world

if they don't know how to deal with a wanderer .................... they'll soon have to find out, won't they?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 30 Mar 2015 22:01

Yes Linda - the Duchess will be more confused than usual, as she won't understand why she is in there.
I don't know how they will manage at night because she has a tendency to wander about.
Should imagine they know how to handle that.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 30 Mar 2015 21:55

Hello Persie,
Thank you for explaining what an periodontist does :-)

I will have been listed as next of kin on the information sent in with her, but it seems it counts for nothing.
They will only talk to me on their terms, ie, if there is cause for concern.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 30 Mar 2015 21:48

I hope the Duchess can go back home soon, it must be so unsettling for her to be in an unfamiliar place
