Good to see you posting Tec

Best of luck with your journey, and fingers crossed all goes well on Friday,

How long is the train journey from your daughter's to your place Linda?

We went for a drive out into the "wop wops" yesterday a couple of places we went through that have quite a lot of houses and a school do not appear to have a shop of any sorts. Would be no good living out there without a vehicle. Some quite nice houses and some that were falling down... and a lovely little train station. The Bush steam train does 6 trips on the first Sunday of the month. They call themselves the Bush Tramway Club. The ticket lasts all day so you can get off and have a potter and catch the next train.... won't be able to do it in May as we will be away in Wellywood but should be okay for June.

For some reason they don't run them in the summer months only from April -December. :-S

Tec

lovely to hear from you.

Safe trip tomorrow, and hope all goes well <3 <3 <3

Tecwyn Report 6 Apr 2015 21:39

Well made it through the week, and as Linda has said, am going into hospital in the morning as scheduled.
All ready, and my bag is packed. It is a two hour journey, so will travel on the back sea of my daughter's car.

There is little difference in the Duchess, but she is no worse. Still critical, but stable.
It has been awful not being able to visit her, but just unlucky the way things have worked out. She is getting visitors. Her sister lives in the Wrexham area, and is over from Hong Kong to attend her son's wedding on Saturday.

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts, and good wishes. <3

Tec :-)

I spoke to Tec briefly this evening, he is still at home but definitely going into hospital tomorrow. He said that the Duchess Is the same. He may come on the thread later on if he feels up to it

I am shattered, having just sat down after tidying up

I took Eve into town this morning to collect a "my first swingball" which I had ordered. We set it up in the garden and she liked it. She was quite good at hitting it, probably because she used to do Teddy Tennis at nursery

It was a nice sunny afternoon, so Esme sat in her pushchair while mummy scrubbed down the garden furniture and toys . We emptied the play house and hoovered all the spiders out. All of the play pots and pans etc went in the dishwasher and we cleaned the play kitchen. All is now ready for a summer of play.

Tomorrow morning is Eves big adventure when she comes back on the train to grandmas house, she is very excited. I am looking forward to getting home for a rest, even though it will be non stop with her, grandad can chip in and do his bit

I'm sure Eve is very excited about going to your house and it will give her mum a break to concentrate on Esme.

We had Joel overnight. The family came for a visit and Joel asked if he could stay over. He loves to do that. Aimee also wanted to stay but we said that she can another day. Drew likes his own bed :-)

I hope you have a nice day Sue

I am getting tired as I have been here so long now. It is easier now Esme U.S. Home as i don't ha to cope with Eve single handed. I have tried to do as much as I can for my daughter such as cooking the meals, doing the washing etc.

I only have one more night after this before I take Eve on her big adventure to my house, she seems really keen

Hello ladies - now we've gone back to normal time it's harder to chat :-(

Of course he would appear to you, you are family :-D

I hoped Eve would sleep in this morning, but she was up at seven :-(

She was in the garden at Eight collecting the chocolate eggs left by the Easter bunny.
We decorated hard boiled eggs this morning, then the nurse came to give Esme her antibiotics. She doesn't like that as soon as they touch her foot where the cannula is she screams

This afternoon, Esme stayed with her daddy while Eve, mummy and I went to a local travelling funfair. Eve loved it, but it cost a fortune.

Tomorrow is a public holiday here Sylvia

A little bit of family history for you :-D

I discovered this tidbit yesterday .......

........ I don't usually follow children of siblings, the spouses of siblings are quite enough, but something led me to look at the brother of OH's 2 x gt grandmother and his family

I discovered 5 of his sons emigrated around 1900 to 1910 ......... one to Australia, and 4 to Canada. The Australian one returned to the UK in 1914, enlisted and was killed in 1916. One of the Canadian ones enlisted in the Canadian army and was killed in 1918.

However, it was one of the others that captured my imagination .......

...... he emigrated to Alberta, went to university, became a high school principal, then was elected to a 1 year term as an MP in Ottawa in 1935-1938.

Following that ............ he built a lodge and cottage resort in the Rockies near Jasper, opened it in 1941 ...............

.......... and is allegedly still haunting it and nearby areas :-D :-D

he is OH's ??? x cousin ..........

The resort still exists, though much more pricey than it was.

I wonder if he would appear to us if we went there :-0

I spoke to Tec this evening, he is still at home but in bad pain. The Duchess is critical but stable.
He is hoping that the nurse will send him into hospital tomorrow, the one who came today was just a stand in who would not know what to do

Persephone, more and more people are finding my site without me inviting them. It is growing. I am highly delighted. I am still inviting people though, grabbing strangers at Hunua Falls, and in the valley, and giving them the site address.

And to Huia, I am enjoying your photos on Hunua, thanks for inviting me. Hope you are keeping well and not slipping over or anything silly when we keep having these wet spells.

Persephone Report 5 Apr 2015 07:01

It's a long way away down here to be of much help.

I do hope the Duchess improves and that Tec gets in to hospital as well, the sooner he gets sorted and relieved of the pain.. Roll on Friday.

You are a treasure Linda, taking Eve to the movies twice in the one week. Esme does seem to be in better spirits one can only hope she improves day by day.

Feeling a bit disoriented today, we got our hour back during the night. So darkness will descend a lot earlier tonight.

Thank you Elizabeth for your kind words <3

I just don't know what to say :-( I am so worried about Tec and the Duchess and I feel so helpless.

I hope Esme continues to improve <3
