They are top ladies actually :-D

Her ulcers are healing nicely now thank goodness, but the poor little mite could have done without all this trauma

Sleep well Amanda

Well it is good that Bill can keep on for the time being , I know we have had very old chaps on our allotment in the past , when they finally give up their plots they tend to pass away a few weeks later :-(

It is lovely news that Esme has gone back to nursery :-) and it sounds encouraging that the meeting with the top men in Manchester went well .

Well , I shall say " cheerio " for now , it is heartening to know that things are so much better for Esme <3

LindainHerriotCountry Report 20 Apr 2015 22:45

I don't think Bill will last the year out which is sad because he is a nice old man

I forgot to answer you about Esme, she went back to nursery thus afternoon and was fine. They had been away for the weekend because they had a meeting in Manchester on Friday with the two geneticists who are the countries leading experts in her syndrome, that was very worthwhile apparently. The other grandparents live near Chester, so they went on to see them as well

Your popular because your kind Linda :-)
As is your husband by the sounds of it , it is good of him to carry on with the plot even though he would rather let it go .
:-)

LindainHerriotCountry Report 20 Apr 2015 22:20

Sorry Amanda, I am popular tonight, the phone keeps ringing

My OH was thinking of giving the allotment up, but the old man who has the other half is not well and he got upset when he heard OH might be going, so he said he would stay

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 20 Apr 2015 22:00

I thought your OH was thinking about giving up the allotment Linda ? I'm pleased he changed his mind :-)

Amanda2003 Report 20 Apr 2015 21:59

Hello Linda , yes , the little ones are all fine , thank you :-) Megan has bought a couple of those baby slings and is finding it much easier to get out and about with the twins in these , rather than bothering with the great big double buggy that doesn't even fit in her tiny little car . She went out earlier today with her sister , the twins ( in slings ) and Poppy in her pram :-D

I hope Esme is continuing to get better and that Eve is well <3

Hello Amanda, I hope all the little ones are well

OH keeps going to the allotment, but I haven't been, I will take more interest once the fruit is ready

It is good to know that Tec is still progressing well :-) I hope he gets moved to the local hospital soon ( but obviously not until they know he is well on the mend ) .

Sylvia , I hope your Spring weather is going well , it has been lovely here today in Norfolk , blue skies and sunshine , it got quite warm when the wind dropped in the afternoon .

Persie , I like the idea of your Dad , standing in his big coat looking at the rain soaked garden , was he looking for snails and slugs or just enjoying the rain in general ?

It is " all go " on the allotments , the early potatoes are just beginning to show through the ground , broad beans are in full flower . Today we put the pea and bean frames up .
I've been selling my excess tomato plants , on the table outside the house , it only took a couple of days for them to be snapped up .

~~~~~~ to Sue :-D
That is nice Persie, I hope you have bought a new outfit for the occasion.
I have been out most of the day taking a really nice 86 year old lady on a hospital visit. The hospital is about thirty miles away but impossible to get to on public transport.
She had to be there for 11.15 for an injection, but then her bone scan was not until 2pm. She wanted me to stay with her so I did. She was nice to talk to, so the time passed quickly
Heard from Tecs daughter saying
He is still in Shrewsbury but progressing well, he gets quite tired as the day goes on, but is generally being very positive about things. Local hospital is the next step when everything falls into place,
LindainHerriotCountry Report 19 Apr 2015 12:45
I knew it was too soon, it is cloudy and chilly this morning, although the sun is trying to break through
No news on Tec. Shaun has kindly checked and he is still in Shrewsbury hospital, but they are not allowed to tell you anything. I havent heard anything from his daughter yet.
Persephone Report 19 Apr 2015 00:09
Our weather is doing ups and downs, cold and poured with rain all day yesterday.. and today it is sunny and warm.. washing out and I finished my book in the sunny part of the dining area. May go out later for a walk.
That ledge I talked about now has a reasonably high railing around it.. I am sure it was not there when I ventured out, I think there was a small one about calf high along there in brown flat iron at least that was what was there when we were there a few years later, but now it looks to be of some other material. I was surprised that the building was still there.
When it was raining yesterday and I was standing by the front door looking at the inclement weather whilst waiting for him. I thought about my father when it was raining, he would put on his army lemon squeezer hat and his long NZ Railway's coat and stand on the lawn looking at the garden. I still have his railways coats.
