Just got a text from Tec, he sends everyone his love. He says he is still in alot of pain, but coping with the morphine. he is all set to move to the local hospital this week sometime

Linda - OH is well on the way to finishing the laundry. I don't need to censor his reply - I just got a look :-D. It is the bane of his life at the moment.

We watched a movie about Keith Murdoch father of Rupert Murdoch. It was set during WW1 and Mr Murdoch was a war correspondent. His need to tell the truth about what was happening at Gallipoli was seen as treason.

Persie - I read about the motorcycle club - if their apology is sincere then I hope it was accepted.

We have had quite a bit of rain this afternoon and evening. That is good for the allotment because we haven't had any for ages

One of the dawn services in London was interrupted three times by unauthorised music testing from a nearby nightclub. They apologised as well

We had a great doco on those that had returned from the Vietnam War on TV last night .. took them years to be recognised by the Returned Servicemen's Association. Took ages to get any recognition of the damage agent orange had done to some of them as well.

In fact we had military documentaries all evening until about 10.30pm when all good soldiers had hopefully gone to bed.

It is still chilly here .......... so another lightweight winter sweater came out of the closet :-)


plus we have been having periods of heavy rain, threats of hail and thunder and lightening (not here, as yet), and there is new snow on the tops of the North Shore mountains .............. which have been completely bare for snow for over a month!

"The Rebels Motorcycle Club has apologised for disrupting today's Dawn Service in Waiouru on Saturday evening.

A written statement provided by the club to NZME news service and published online said the motorcycle club had the "upmost respect for our fallen heroes whom have given their lives for our freedom".

"We were passing through at the time of service; we stopped to pay our respects. Assuming the service was completed, we then continued on our journey. "Unfortunately, we misunderstood, causing disruption, this was not our intention. There are no excuses for the events that occurred; we can ensure you this will not happen again in the future

Waiouru is where a lot of the army do their training and it has a fantastic Military Museum there.

There were large ceremonies here as well

We are just back from the market, it is warm enough not to have a coat, but really windy. The cold air is due to come down from the north tomorrow, so it will be back to having the heating on.

Thankfully there were no disruptions and people turned out in the thousands.

I hope all the rememberance parades passed off peacefully. I read that there were some plans to disrupt them

I realise Anzac day is over for you but from me, remembering all your brave people who gave their lives for us.
