Good evening Tec. Not watching the football? OH is ensconced and being a dutiful wife, I even remembered to buy him a new box of beer. Apparently you can't watch football without drinking beer.

Your walk sounded wonderful. I had hoped to have a day to myself today, but it took until mid afternoon to wade through the mass of paper work which has accumulated.

Still after that I did get to go to the supermarket, lucky me. I remember Porthmadog Tec, I have a photo of my daughter on the beach there when she was just a little girl.

You arrived while I was posting Sue. It must be nice to have grandchildren. My oldest is thirty and lives with his girlfriend, but she doesn't want children, she wants a dog!
My daughter is twenty eight and has just got engaged, she does want babies, i think that her biological clock must be kicking in,so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Hello Tec, Itchy trigger finger perhaps?
Hope you and the Duchess are well. Sounds like you had a good day. That would be great roaming around the deserted estate. Someone would own it though, wouldn't they? If so, I wonder why it is deserted?

Maybe you could restore it when you win the lottery - and if so, don't forget that I want my own suite! Admittedly, I will be working a lot from the cruiser, but I will need to be in residence to do some of my "advising", preferably in the Welsh summer time!

Goodness! I must be slowing down. Two of you sneaked in while I was typing! Goodmorning/evening to you Sue and Linda.

The supermarket Linda?!? Wow, now that's a trip to look forward to:-))

I've had 3 days mostly to myself and I haven't done much of what I planned to do. I've updated my family tree and done a few jobs around the house but I've had a lot of phone calls over the last couple of days and that usually means looking up paper work and getting answers then ringing people back. Took up almost a whole morning yesterday. I shouldn't complain because it's better than sitting in the little office we have at the hospital.

Good morning Berona. A welsh summer time is just like an Aussie one you know. Well apart form the lack of sun and of course all the rain

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 14 Oct 2009 21:26

Good Morning Sue,
Yes the weather here is unseasonably good for mid October, that's why we decided to get out in the sun, the winter will be long enough. My dog also enjoyed himself, very interested in the squirrels and rabbits all around.
Sounds like you will have lots of fun looking after the grand children, they will keep you on your toes I bet. Yes, I expect you will need a holiday afterwards. A driving holiday sounds great, new things to seein new places. Look out for garden centres Ha Ha,

Tec.

Hello Barbra,
Although Allan emigrated, I think that his English genes mean that he still needs to be awake in the middle of the Aussie night, because it is daytime here

Berona

Berona Report 14 Oct 2009 21:29

Where is Allan? He goes for his walk at 3am and it must be about 4:30am there now. I'll bet he's gone back to bed!! Unless, of course, he found a bin which talked back to him. He might be deep in conversation!

Hi, Berona:-))

Linda, we really enjoy our grandchildren although we don't see as much as we would like of our eldest one as he lives in Tasmania. Our daughter isn't demanding so we can enjoy the children - even the babysitting is easy and not constant. I say this because we know people who are constantly looking after grandchildren and feel "put upon" at times. Luckily my daughter's ex MIL in still very involved with the children and helps out when needed.

Hello Barbra - nice to see you. Allan could very well be talking to a bin - and it may well be a very intelligent conversation:-)))

Allan will come running in with one of his crazy jokes any minute now. He's great fun and takes all our ribbing in good humour. I'm well thanks Barbra - hope you are too:-))

Hello Linda, Berona, Barbra,

Berona, I think that old estate now belongs to an organisation called Cadw, it's like a Welsh equivalent of English Heritage. They look after and maintain old historic buildings and places of historical interest. A bit like the National Trust I suppose.

Linda..... It doesn't always rain in Wales you know, very often it's lovely here when the weather in England is horrible. I have a sister living in Yorkshire, so I often know what your weather's doing.

Barbra.... No - I didn't get a lolly for being good, which was very unfair because I didn't even cry or scream.

Hi, Janet - nice to see you. Will the training session be boring. They often are:-)

Barbra, David Beckham is fit - oh and he can play football too - and then he opens his mouth and the illusion falls apart. I know - that wasn't nice.

Tec - did you stamp your foot and cause a scene when you didn't get a lolly? I would've:-)

Sue xx

Goodnight Barbra - sleep tight.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 14 Oct 2009 22:19

Sue - I'll bet he did scream and shout when he got his jab. It's the macho in him that won't allow him to admit it!

SueMaid Report 14 Oct 2009 22:25

Ah Berona - Tec's admitted to throwing a bit of a tantrum:-)) I can just see the Duchess shaking her head in disgust.
